I am ecstatic!
My office just got a Langnese freezer for ice cream and we're gonna have Ben and Jerry's pints (500ml) for only 4€ and, best of all, I get to pick out the flavors!!!
(I guess I will be going to the gym more too)

while out for a late lunch with my parents there were two dogs wandering around in the parking lot. I found called their microchip company and got connected with the owners who came and got them. My dad was a bit annoyed that I left them for 5 or so min while doing this, but as I told him we're near a busy road and if Brennan, my dog, was in the situation I'd hope someone would see him out the window and get him and do the same! (plus, extra soft spot for these 2 since they're from the same Shelter Bren came from).
Funnily, my dad responded Bren wouldn't be in that position, I reminded him of Christmas eve and when my dad let him out and I had to track him down (the police got him and brought him to the vet to be borded, luckily they let me in to get him back) since Bren didn't know where he was considering we had only been back in the US for 3 days.

You know 2 dogs who own a micro-chip company? Would that be the Hilton sisters by any chance?
mere
Sep 1 2007, 11:12 pm
hahahah! yups, they were running around a burger/malt place on the outskirts of a Milwaukee suburb. Called the paparazi and they came for them.
no, called the company that their microchip tag had on it (that's how i know they're from the same shelter as my dog).

I'm happy because a good friend of mine came from Munich to visit me and we had such a fun time yesterday and today.
drinking champagne (cheap champagne) and playing shithead (card game) soon might make choc chip pancakes and thick bacon.. mm...
A tiny bit of happiness in an otherwise crap past few days. I love my former job! Thinking of it makes me happy. Still having connections to info because of it makes me very happy (also makes me highly disappointed in what I used to think was a great rowing club).

Because my parents are coming from the States to visit me for 2 weeks for the first time in the six years I've lived here (they recently retired) and now I'm on vacation from work for the next two weeks!
Nothing better than hanging out with one of my favorite college roommates- some good Mexican food then her convincing me to hit up one of our favorite college bars (we used to live around the block from it). Caff's is great, but it was also ladies night so 3 free drinks (rails and miller on tap). A fun time and it was nice to actually get out and be social and remember I do have friends and a life.
It was odd seeing people I tutored or was their boss when they were not old enough to be in the bars. Nice though to be told I was the best Aquatic Supervisor they've worked for there, darn i miss my former employer.
Anyway, happy due to a nice night out and being reacquainted with one of my all time favorite drinking establishments (who can't like a good Long Island and great free popcorn with baseball/sport of the season/game of the day on the tv and good music in the background?).

Unfortunately I didn't get the chance to see the game.
'cos I'm looking forward to the annual pilgrimage to Monza tomorrow to watch the Grand Prix, a weekend of good food (well, apart from at the circuit) and a long weekend away from work.
Go Hamilton!
because its the weekend for me now, and I have a massage appointment booke tomorrow with someone that will not leave me bruised.
