Why are you happy today?

I'm so happy because today I'm heading to the mountains of Franconian Switzerland for the week to stay in a huge ferienwohnung in a castle. The ferienwohnung is very private and the town is extremely peaceful and quiet.

am happy today for no reason.. am just happy.. really bizarre.

A friend who used to be a really really close good friend reconnected with me today and it feels good to have that possibility to have that connection with him again. I also realized today that another friend is actually a true friend . Just feels good to know that I do have friends out there

because I had a great weekend rafting/canoeing in the Czech Rep, even though it rained every day on us, I had a wonderful time, even after I fell out of the raft today in the torrential rainfall. The beer was good and the Becherova (sp?) was warm. Will be even happier after I get all the laundry done and my tent dried out- but its all on the balcony airing out.

Had a fantastic drinks night out last night with fantastic friends (old and new). Nothing like a good old natter.

Oh yes, "HAPPY", I remember that . . . .

Because one of my old Erlangen crew is down from Oslo tonight and I haven't seen him in a year, a year during which he's become a dad and moved from Trondheim to Oslo, so tons to talk about which I'm really looking forward to.

Because my little boy made a leap forwards yesterday. He's four. He has had very low confidence in the water.

I took him to the Westbad yesterday, blew up his little water wings, carried him into the pool and he just let go... just like that and started swimming, with the, "You stay there Daddy and I'm going to swim the length (OK, admittedly only about 10 metres) of this little pool and swim back to you". It's too deep for him to stand up in and he did the length and back about 20 times. I was gobsmacked, and very proud.

Because my 6 year old woke up early today, made me coffee and put it beside my bed, fed the cats, got himself a bowl of cereal and then made a special breakfast concoction for everyone.

Now that the kids are off at Hort I am sipping a cup of hot milk with two tablespoons of whole coffee beans floating in it and spooning a blend of milk, grape jam, red fruit preserves, fresh apricot and slice of (unpeeled) mango with cinnimen, honey and jogurt (that I know of at least).

EDIT: just saw Sin's post (I started posting earlier but got distracted) - Seems like TT Kids are on a roll this week!

Oh DDBug... too cute!

Cos I found my supply of nurofen cold and flu in my desk at the office

3 hr staff meeting today sucks since i'm super busy at work, but yet it's a break from sitting in a cubical (and some good free apetizer-type food.) and go to the ICC Italian Community Center where the meeting is.

Today starts Irish fest so i'm going tonight!

Saturday is the border collie resuce (MWBCR) picnic down in Naperville. sucks going down there, but it should be fun!

Cos I've just packed a pressie for my sister who really doesn't deserve one!
But... that's me! Always thinking of others.
Sisters are OK in small doses, right!

I'm all excited because my sister is coming to visit me this weekend, arriving tomorrow and it's her first time in Germany

Cos my son arrived in Munich today and i should get to have him stay with me this weekend

I actually quite like naperville, it's probably the best bar town in that area, plus really nice little stores. You should have fun there.

finally finally.. after fighting hard, i got my holidays approved for 2 weeks...and i found that my return ticket is not transferrable.. so i need to buy a new return ticket.. thats bad. but the joy of flying home superceds the sadness.

Had a really good time in London, got home in one piece and bought two more Squeezy Love therapy pillows! I am now the very proud owner of four of them. (Though two are another brand, but they are the same kind of pillow.) I love them sooooo much!

Because I just got a box from a friend back in the states and it has gluten free brownie mixes (note, that is plural ) in it!!! Yummy!!!

My raw-silk blouses are clean and drying in the sun and the wind.
Then again, I am unhappy because I washed them by hand and now my fingernails are blue. Time to wash some dishes.

because I spent a wonderful day with some great people, met a newbie TTer and introduced her to some other TTers and I got a cute new dirndl today too, and a cheap rental car for next weekends trip to Switzerland. Life is good!

Becauase my boyfriend is out getting very drunk at a festival tonight-- and he really deserves a good night out. x

I am happy because I am moving out, soon.

I spent a very lovely evening with a bunch of people who acted like normal human beings, we cooked, drank a bit of vino and watched kiddies running amok, I`ve missed that a lot. And I did not have to cook or wash up. Oh and met an English woman who may soon appear on TT.

Because Team Awesome won.

I finished the half bottle of red orange breezer. Feeling relaxed and sleepy enough to jump right into bed. Forget yelling landladies, now.

Because my dog behaved splendidly tonight, with no accidents during our evening at a friend´s house. He´s a little trooper.

i'm not going to coach crew (sad and long stupid story) but i got offered to poss. teach 2 more dog classes becasue the kennel club has received great reports from my students they want me to do more!

i had a good dog day too!
it started out with three behavior mishaps, but once we got in the car to head down to Illinois to the MWBCR picnic Bren was amazing. At the picnic he was great. There were minimum 40 dogs and he was amazing. A few people commented on how great he is and I said he was having a few problems. They told me I have too high standards for him. I don't.

ALSO i just got a phone call telling me that starting tomorrow (hopefully) there'll be a new guy in my life (at least for awhile)!

Because I finally went running again, such a good feeling!

Ahhh, in the peace and solitude of midnight, I finally managed to get about 60% of my finances straightened out Nice feeling to have something I dread taken care of. The tax man will like me better now as well, I think I will go open his letter that has been sitting here unopened for 3 weeks now...

I'm so happy because a wonderful friend from Munich came to visit me for the weekend and brought me a copy of the Best of Steely Dan CD and the time we had together far exceeded my expectations for the weekend !!!

am back HOME !!!

Because, tomorrow I shall have Bacon, Eggs and Fried Mushrooms, Toast and Tea for breakfast.( Forgot to get tomatoes) And I shall sit at the table and read a newspaper while I do it.

Because I have got a massive smile on my face despite only having had 3hrs sleep last night!

na I'm fine. Yesterday I was still walking and working like a zomby but today I have mostly recovered from Saturday.
