A friend told me a funny story about how she fell into a LSD cactus at the botanic garden in Dresden last weekend. I really should have come along on that trip! Oh well, we had a good laugh about it.

And I talked to a nice guy from one of my classes who spent a semester in BCN and he gave me some advice and told me I can ask him anything I want. Always good to know someone who's essentially done the same thing I am about to do.

And I finally got a message from a friend who I'd lost touch with 3 years ago, and found again 3 months ago... took him that long to write back to me, but oh well, I am so glad he did, anyway.

even though I am very tired, the phone has been rining since 6am with good wishes for my birthday, I really appreicate the gesture, and the florist just called to say they got more flowers for me.
And somebody who I never agree with here on TT started my birthday thread.

I just pre-ordered the new album of one of my favorite bands,
Who We Are by Lifehouse, for myself and my best friend at Amazon. And thanks to the fabulous Dollar-Euro conversion rate it comes out pretty cheap anyway even though we will be paying $13.47 for (expedited) shipping (when the album is $9.99). Kind of ridiculous to be paying more for the shipping than the album costs, but it will probably only be about €13 for each of us anyway, when the import is over €20 at Amazon.de.

I listened to the songs for the first time today and I am so excited!

My new toy just got here today... the mailman came at 0830, and of course I was asleep and didn't hear it but my neighbor accepted it for me (I had expected this to happen, so I had talked to her last night, and put a note on the door as well).

Awesome! I had ordered it on Saturday! Now I'm waiting for it to charge completely so I can play with it. (Ah yes I know it's a phone but whatever.

I am happy today because after getting super frustrated last night with my new MP3 player not being Itunes compatitble (I spent the last 3 days putting about 150 CD's in my ITunes), and me being totally computer/technology illiterate, I did figure it out... and get this, with the help of T-online! Yeah, you read that right. T-online. They have a music manager program that I downloaded ages ago, but it let me import my Itunes to upload on my MP3 player that says needs Windows Media. The are compatible with most machines and systems. I am soooooooo happppyy about that.
Oh, and I got two new pairs of shoes today and had a great lunch with 2 good friends.
Life is so much better since I am not allowing negative energy engulf me.

I´m happy because I spent a nice evening with a good friend, and on the way home we saw a firefly.
Oh, and then the evening was almost ruined by someone on the tram who pointed out to me that I was doing something "wrong", but I handled it sovereignly (does that work in English?) and had everyone else on the tram on my side, too. Finally, I stood up to a German bully decisively yet coolly. Patting myself on the back.

Aaand another reason is one of my best friends got a new job. She really didn't like her old one any more as the management sucked, and this one is so much better, she will make more money, and she will not be temp but part time employed (so she gets a fixed salary every month + I assume paid vacation and sick leave). She is a coffee junkie and the new job is at Starbucks (her old one was not very useful like that) so that is great for her. I hope that will at least take some stress from her life.
She also just told me she already found a new roommate (her roomie just told her a few days ago that she is moving in August).
