Cos my glider is back from the repair shop & cost much less than I feared to fix.

worked a little overtime today (made some extra money, and haven't worked overtime in a long time), had a nice dinner with a good friend, still home early enough to clean the apartment, and did 4 weeks of laundry and ironing, now I can relax and enjoy my 5 days off.

Was just chatting to a friend and have stumbled on a solution to 2 problems i had.
1. I have a bureau type piece of furniture that i thought i was going to sell/throw away as it doesn't really match my lounge.
2. I was thinking what i needed to complete the bachelor pad atmosphere apart from a Pinball machine of course which hopefully another TTer is going to solve for me.
Solution :
Every B Pad requires a bar and i'm a bit partial to a cocktail or 3 myself.
Said bureau has a fold down flap at the front with shelves behind it and above it with a cupboard below, absolutely perfect for making mixed drinks and cocktails!!
Plus learning how to make them and sampling the results will keep me off the streets occupied during boring evenings.
God i love it when inspiration strikes!
Now what's the best/easiest cocktail making book to buy?

Edit: Just found a
fantastic site with 151 pages of cocktail recipes on it. Wonder how many reams of paper i need at work to print that little lot out?

The most amazing book that I have in my collection for making drinks is called
Bartending for Dummies. You can't go wrong with a copy of this book. There's over 1000 drink recipes in it. Here's the link for Amazon.

YELLOW! Then to add insult to injuty, there's a layer of lace curtain between the yellow curtain and the window! It's like a Bavarian nightmare!

I am happy because when we came home from the pizzeria Emily, the Mighty Hunter, was sitting in the front garden with a live mouse under her paws. Haggis Junior quickly expedited the cat inside while I picked up the mouse (who was seriously traumatized) and gently dumped it across the street in the Rednecks' messy yard. BTW, this is on the side of the street where the Japanese Fighting Cat lives ...

They have two dilapidated vans with the motors missing and in a high wind their doors blow open. One van is green, the other was thought to be white until they shifted them around yesterday and the hood of the white van turns out to be - dum-da-dum! - green!!! They are standing on a weed-infested paved area and even Scogs goes all German about them and wants to know if we can complain and have them removed.

I am happy today because I don't
need any particular
reason to be happy. Being happy on a daily basis is a matter of choice. Having a happy day is as simple as chosing to be grateful, focusing on thoughts that bring us joy and seeking out more of "the good stuff" (whatever that might be for you).
But I'm pretty easy to put in a good mood, even this still lightens me up if the day gets stressful

My life is chaotic, I feel like I'm being tugged in fifteen different directions at once, I've just quit my job and my bank account looks like the work of a oversugared child the first day they encountered the minus sign in school.
However for the first time in my life I'm working towards a goal that I really want dearly and that makes getting up in the morning something much more than just starting another day.
