Looks like another neighboring cat has adopted us. He came in, went on a quick excursion of the house, and is now sleeping on a chair out in the hallway. He is so beautiful, and not shy at all. I don't think I have met this cat before, at least not in the past few years, and he let me pet him right away.

I'm happy that a 4 day weekend is only 3 short hours away.
But, a rant, when will this day ever end!?

I'm happy today because the company canteen chef asked me to come by after Easter after I asked if he could make us other Japanese/Asian dishes other than Curry Rice every Thursday. Soon, I'll have my own TV show! HAHA!

I am happy because the potato salad and the garlic butter and the creamed cheese/horseradish/spring onion spread are delicious. I am also happy that the knife I was drying needed to be sharpened because it slipped and slightly nicked my left palm. And I am happy because five out of seven neighbors do not mind Emily, the small cat, visiting their gardens.

I am happy because a long weekend has just started and it is b-e-a-utiful weather outside!

My favorite ex - husband just left after a very nice week. We plan to get together again in a couple of months .

spent a wonderful day with some great friends that recently moved back to Munich from NewZealand, the hours flew past, but was nice to finally take a day to catch up, and check out my friend's 9 month preggers belly moving as the baby tried to find a comfortable spot.

Had quite a fabulous time at the Englischer Garten today with my sis and her kiddos.
Aaand I went downtown with my best friend earlier today. Had an amazing Leberkässemmel at Viktualienmarkt and bought a mangosteen finally. Haven't tried it yet, though. I also tried another fruit, longan, which tastes quite yummy as well.

i'm happy beause i'm home sooner than yesterday ..

First day back in Munich and had a wonderful boozy afternoon at the HBK with some of my best friends.
Kids ran wild, no one's eyes were poked out and all is perfect in my world again .

I'm back in Heidelberg, and the weather was gorgeous, and I had a great evening with a friend. Kinda even made up for the nasty nasty bathroom.

Canada won the women's world hockey again! 5-1 over the US... the world just seems perfect today!

I'm done with my finals
I got an A+ in all of the courses..

Tomorrow - though since BA pulled out of bristol the 2 hour trip is now an ordeal, I'll leave this house at 7am, and might be in my place by 6, maybe.
But I'm going home!

The waves breaking over the breakwall this morning were gorgeous and the weather was acting up enough that even in the inner harbor the waves were caping over! it was pretty.
oh, and i got free lunch at work today.
but the weather sucks and Kickball was canceled for the night and living on the lake means it's alway windier near me thus walking my dog sometimes sucks.

Happy because riding the 19 tram from Berg-am-Laim to Hauptbahnhof Munich at night is one of life's little pleasures.
Especially when you sit on the left of the tram and look out of the window just before Maximilianeum and keep looking back - sheer stone wall, grey grey grey and then woah! the Maximilianeum all lit up with an umber glow.

Sometimes you have to fall a little out of love with something in order to fall in love all over again.

That I was listening to David Bowie ("Modern Love") at the time helped a wee bit no doubt.

Because I got to spend the last two days exploring a city I'd never been to before (Hamburg) and I had a great time there.

cuz after breaking my foot 7.5 weeks ago, the doc said I could put full weight on my foot and hobble around without using crutches. Egads! Crutches are the biggest pain in the arse! Have you ever tried to carry a beverage using 2 crutches? And lastly, I am now able to drive again, (against the doctor's orders) because the swelling has gone down enough that I can take my "boot" off and get my foot into a clog. Driving is very important in the US, especially when you live 55 minutes (driving time) from work.

but i'm not able to concentrate on work and focus... grr.. oh well! hopefully 2 meetings today will break it up.

i'm also happy because i live about 350 steps from the lake (i counted while i walked back from taking Bren for a walk before work)

and i'm happy b/c in about 3-4 weeks i get a fun visitor to start off the visitor season (may-june seems like every other week someone is in town)! and that means i might get flowers and a back rub (hahaha use my visitors, granted i'll have to figure out payment in return, but that's okay)

Thats cool mere, sounds like a nice time ahead...!

I am happy today because I am loving this weather, loving the green shoots and leaves appearing on the trees, loving the spring flowers and the promise of summer, swimming, running and beer.

I'm happy today because I'm all packed (for my move) and had time left to sit on the balcony, in the sun, with my laptop listening to radio station from home, surfing (TT) wireless And I must add that I'm very blessed that my body got rid of my pollen allergy (by itself)!

I just got back from a run...happy . I am still not back into a regular routine, however hope this is the start of it.

I had two very long days, with little sleep and lots to do (not just bad things, but it was very stressful anyway), but I am about to take a shower and go to bed and then I can finally catch up on sleep.
And it's all summer-ish here, 25° and sunshine and I love it!

I'm happy today because I did step aerobics for an hour and managed not to break a leg and then did my power weight lifting class at the German gym.

after a crap crap day at work, I came home and decided to make perogies, and then I called my mom to chat about me making perogies. The world seems okay again.
And I have some wonderful friends, that with their small gestures, I realize how important they are to me, and how much I care about them, and they about me.

Do you remember that big perogies/perogi conversation we had last year? We should make them together one day!

Sadly I only read such things for entertainment but the giggle was worth it.

I got the rest of my medication in the mail today.
I had gotten the prescription before Easter but the doctor made a mistake filling out the form (he hand-corrected the prescription but did not sign his name), and the pharmacy in Munich were only allowed to give me 20 (instead of 50) pills (because anyone could have changed the prescription and the medicaiton is prescription-only), but they got a hold of the doctor yesterday (he was out of the office for Easter for a week) and sent me the remaining 30 in the mail (as I left Munich on Tuesday and couldn't pick them up). I got them today. (Just in time, I only had pills for today and tomorrow left.)
They were really nice about it, too, they even paid for the postage. That's what I call good customer service! By the way, it's Rosenapotheke at Marienplatz in Munich.

That and the amazing weather, just makes me happy, it was 26°C/79°F here today and the weather forecast says "sunny" for another week! That even makes up for some other stress I have had today.

Tuesday! (Monday technically but I don't have any classes on Monday this semester. )
