There's so much negativity floating around at the moment on TT it's starting to get me down.
We have threads on "my relationship's shit, what shall I do", "I hate it in Munich/Germany/wherever", "my boss is crap" (think i was guilty of that one!), "my job is shit", "The Vent", "I can't find decent chocolate cake" etc
Even the "happy place" thread is born of unhappiness.
Let's celebrate happiness. So why are you happy today?
I'll start: I am happy because we have a new temporary secretary, she's hot and is showering me with attention for no apparent reason
Im happy thinking about Lassie and his secretary taking a shower. That and my flat is clean.

I have TONS of happiness and positive energy to share - anyone is welcome to have a bit of it

I have a new outlook on life after my weeks holiday. I read 2 very inspiring books that have helped me to be positive and change the way I look at life.
The Alchemist - Paulo Coelho and
The Power of Now - Eckhart Tolle
Have started my fruits/veggies/fish diet again and am successful (so far

Can now run 5 whole min at a time. I know it sounds lame, but a month ago when I started trying to run again after a 10 yr absense I could only run 30 seconds.
Also, have a VERY slow week this week with work which is wonderful for first week back after holiday.
So, no negativity here

I feel great today, went shopping bought the Books Eurobabs read, and look forward to reading them, stopped by the office, as I am back to work tomorrow and noticed that the coworker I hate got my room all ready and had everything sterilized and ready for me. Shocked me.
Bought a new Dirndl today and look smashing in it.
So, anybody need a hug? Here is a BIG HUG coming your way!

Seems cleaning does the trick. Cleaned my place for hours yesterday. Result was a sleepless night. Both make me very happy. Finally found tenants for my place in Hamburg as well. But what beats everything is a mended heart.

Today I am happy as my parents have completed their move from Essex to Dumfries and therefore I am no longer in a 7.5 Ton lorry somewhere on the motorway or indeed stopped for 3 hours by Traffic Control for having an overloaded vehicle and having a prohibition notice slapped on it. Additionally, I am not packing personal effects nor am I lugging said effects around which also makes me happy as does not doing 2000km in a van on several cross-country sprints.
But what really makes me happy is that I have my physio appointment soon and my knee will soon not hurt like it does now.
And my flat is clean (but then it always is).
And my parents are very very happy to be home.

I'm happy because some rude english twat just tried to fenegle a meeting with my boss. He tried every which way to get through me and refused to give me any information about him, even claiming that they he knew my boss personally and had met him several times. I then proceeded to speak to him in German which he understood absolutely nothing of. I then informed him that it must be very difficult for him to have communicated with my boss since he doesn't speak a word of English. That finally shut him up.

I'm happy, because I just spent 2 lovely days floating on a rubber raft on a lake in the inland California heat and having really great sex.

Edit: While we're on the subject of reading, I'm almost done with Narcissus and Goldmund by Herman Hesse, and I'm really enjoying it.

I'm happy today, because I was finally fit enough again to go for a nice long run. My flu seems to finally be leaving me for good!

My muscle ache is also gone and I don't wobble around stiff-legged like a duck anymore. I am happy because I
did not clean the flat, but listened to some good music instead. Good music always puts me in a good mood. So much happiness, it's hard to bear ain't it?

I'm happy today because after I finished my class, I went to the supermarket to buy a Coca-Cola Zero and a cottage cheese-- but when I got there I discovered that almost everything in the store was
30% off !!!

So I ended up buying an entire shopping cart full of wine and chocolate (and other stuff that a person might need to survive)!

Aug 22 2006, 11:31 am

I was going to save that little gem for myself, Green Tea, but ok.

It's the Edeka Großhandel supermarket in Pullach.
Everything's 30% off except tobocco products, magazines/newpapers, fruits, veggies and stuff from the meat department.
Edit: And it's 30% off til August 30th. Apparently they're tearing the building down to build a bigger, better Edeka and everything has to go.

I have to go back down there this afternoon to teach again. Is there anything specific you'd really, really like to have? I could pick something up for you.
Edit: Except coffee. The coffee was selling like hot cakes- not much left except decafinated.

Yuck.

, but I have a feeling all the shelves will have been stripped bare by this afternoon, after the TT crowd have been through there like a swarm of locusts.

I'm happy today because I finally decided what I'm making for dinner tonight, and I realized that I already have most of the ingredients at home, so I don't have to stop at moldy Tengle's after work. Then, I get to celebrate my 10th month anniversary with my B-friend, which I'm also damn happy about, because when you're lucky enough to be with someone who's also your favorite person on the planet, it's all good.
Heck, I'm so happy today, I may even make these for dessert:

However - apart from the starter of the thread himself - the male contribution seems to be limited to analysis of the situation or jus' larkin' about.

From this we can conclude that men are generally not happy.
This I could have told you before, why else would an otherwise reasonable person suggest you switch sides of the bed.
