Hanflabyrinth - giant maze in a field of cannabis - Munich

Top tip for an entertaining trip out of the city:

just to the north of Munich, next to the airport, there's a giant maze cut into a field of cannabis plants.

They're calling it the "Hanflabyrinth", from the German word "Hanf" which means "hemp/cannabis".

If wandering around the maze trying to find your way out isn't fun enough in itself, they also have other activities and entertainments going on. For example on Saturday 19th August there's a reggae concert. The following Sunday is family day.

Access via public transport is easy, take the S-Bahn S1 north to Pulling. The field is open every day from 10am till 8pm, through until 10th September. Entry is €4.50 for adults, €12 for a family. Prices are more if there's a concert or other special entertainment.

I was thinking they must somehow keep a good eye on the visitors to keep them from just picking the stuff and ruining the labyrinth!

Germans are totally anal when it comes to smoking weed.

all my german friends get ripped and they are mainly lawyers and doctors...puff puff..

It would be easy for the gardeners who maintain the maze to sneak a few more potent plants into it.
