I'd like to do some baking with the slightly cooler weather. Anyone have a nice, slightly-sweet yeast bread recipe? Something like a brioche I guess. If it doesn't require more than 200mL milk, I can even make it this evening. If I had more milk I would try some milchbrot out.

If I were home (in Ludwigbsurg, and not here in München) I could send you my Mama's famous sticky buns recipe. Aldi's has pecan nuts on special last week!:o

Can't you phone someone and get the recipe? [Bats eyelashes in attempt to get perfect stranger's kindness.]

I am kind, and love sweet rolls. But my (german) wife doesn't know my store of family recipes. I will write my Mom (in Maine) and see if she can help. biggrin.gif

I ended up making a slightly more hearty bread than I originally wanted when I realised I only had wholewheat and non-bleached flour at home. Very nice bread though. Here's the recipe, if anyone is interested. It was easy enough to halve, I only made one loaf. Forgot to prepare the loaf pan though, which was a mistake as the dough is pretty sticky.
