My daughters have just sold old stuff on e.bay and we cant believe that her old skull VANS sold for €65, she bought them last year for €45 they were well worn, ok I put them in the washing machine, they are very happy, there are stupid people here that buy old shoes. If anyone is going to the USA bring back VANS, CONVERSE OLD STARS and sell them on e.bay and make money!
here is the bid :
VANS

My German isn't up to scratch but did you say in the item description that you were getting rid of them because they were too big?
katz
Aug 12 2006, 7:35 pm
she also said they were worn.

I wouldn't be too proud of misleading the buyer. I just hope they don't complain officially to ebay.
Edit: where does it say they were worn?
"Ihr bietet hier auf ein Paar Kaum noch zu erhaltene Geilen Vans mit BUTTERSKULLS als Motiv in der größe 40. Ich hab sie im Kaufrausch gekauft, aber muss zugeben, dass sie mir doch leider viel zu groß sind und trenne mich sehr ungern von ihnen :-("
A pair of hard-to-come-by cool Vans with Butterskulls motif in size 40. I bought them in a shopping frenzy but have to admit that they are unfortunately too big and I don't want to parth with them

Have you seen the crap that people buy on e.bay , my daughters have also sold used washed out T.shirts from Volcom and Billabong and they have never got a complant believe me I as surprised as you , the stuff we would have thrown away or put in the red cross box, we now sell on e,bay, certain brands sell very well.
Any surfing gear , Skater gear . she also sold a white used cotton mini skirt she bought in New yorker for €9 and sold it for €15.50
Just goes to show that human stupidity knows no bounds.

My point is that the customer was possibly misled into believing that these shoes had never been worn since they were too big. Congrats on gyping someone for so much money.

I agree with UA. You made out those shoes were new without stating they were.
I am extremely surprised that you haven't had any complaints yet as you are right the stuff you are selling is absolutely crap. You can see the armpit sweat marks on one of the t-shirts.
Enjoy it while it lasts!

sneaks collecting is a huuge market and VANS do have a following although not as big as Nike, Adidas or BAPE/Supreme (some of their stuff goes for 1000's)

I agree. Just because you listed the condition on the form as "gebraucht" doesn't mean you didn't mislead the buyer. This listing gives the impression that you never actually wore them, let alone ran them through the washer.

Aug 12 2006, 8:15 pm
That's good that it says - Zustand: getragen (conditon: worn). I looked everywhere for where it said they'd been worn. Bit better then, but still sneaky. Geddit? Sneak-y. boom cha.

Don't do it again. Sooner or later someone will leave you nasty neg. Then all of a sudden nobody will want to bid on your auctions any more.

Well I am not surprised really. When I was in Zurich two years ago A german friend of mine was asking me if I had anyone in the US that would send him used American icon items like Vans so that he could sell. I mean a pair of Chucks here is $32 brand new while in Germany it is 70 Euros new.

People, please keep in mind that katz is the same person who tried to auction off pictures of her cat on Ebay.
She also then posted to TT about the auction, and I'd link to that topic but I think the moderators had the good sense to delete it.

Incorrect people. There is a huge market for used underwear, especially to Japanese men.
A german student made a million about 3-4 years ago selling used knickers.
They are especially into "used schoolgirls knickers" and these can even be purchased from vending machines in some places in Japan.
I shit you not.

but JE i thought they had to be unwashed... now if the can be washed all you do is throw them in the dryer in a bag with a few stones... mmm must get ebay account. oh just checked your link. i love this quote.
"Scent gone from your panties? Have they dried out?
Don't worry just hold them over the kettle steam for a few seconds and my sexy aroma will be released for you to enjoy me for longer!"
oh well rather people were in to that than other things.

And I think that ebay listing was misleading, especially because the photo INCLUDES the original box which just makes it look more like they have been only "used" to try them on. People like you piss me off in life. Karma will come back and bite you on the arse.

If I were a roadie for, say, Robbie Williams, you KNOW I'd be sweeping up all those tossed panties from concerts and selling 'em.
Showem
Aug 14 2006, 12:55 pm
Robbie Williams' used undies probably would fetch more. I wonder which would be the greater profit? Lots of cheap girls' knickers or the occasional pair of Robbie y-fronts.
cinzia
Aug 14 2006, 2:09 pm
I guess it's all about supply and demand, then, Showem. Obviously the girlie pants would out-number Robbie's shorts.
You know what would REALLY sell, though? A pair of concert-tossed knickers that Robbie Williams then wore himself!

I have a pair of my Superman 100% genuine polyester Y-fronts for sale dated 1987. Small hole in the backside (useful?) and a couple of skidmarks. I will start the bidding at €50.

My biggest mistake was not sweeping up his hair from the barbers floor when he went from curtain haired tosser in Take That to baldy slap nut tosser in Take That.
How much do you think a lock of his hair would go for these days?
PS:I still think he is a knob.

I hoped you saved them to flog when you're famous.

Still on the bathroom floor if you want to make me an offer.
