Does anyone know a reliable, creative and good web designer?
We need to modernise our company website.
I have Googled and contacted several firms, but response has been slow.

Hi,
as there have been a few discussions about webpages lately I just wanted to recommend "euroweb". A friend of mine is getting his website done by them and they seem to be really nice and professional, plus their prices are really cheap compared to others.
Does anyone else have any good recommendations?

Thanks for the recommendation, Lawnie. Maybe you could provide a weblink to this "euroweb" company and tell us whereabouts they are located.

What about
me?
I'm a graphic designer who also does HTML, CSS and PHP programming, and in a pinch a bit of MySQL database programming as well. For bigger more complex stuff I have a couple programmers I share projects with.

I thought you were a priest but web design is cool as well.

Get it in writing first, been stiffed a few times here. Working provisionally is...well...arse. Whether it's translation or design, best to have the conditions set in stone before you let anything off the blocks for someone ostensibly leeching off the goodwill of talented TTerdss. And there may be a lot more about than one would give creedence to. Before my credentials get called into question, I've worked on among other things, GMX (the web pres of the mail system, that mailsearch icon - my pixels; filters, dodgy dropdown/stepout subfolder design and, and, and...) and wissen.de (concept and screendesign). So just because its TT doesn't mean it's easier to take advantage of us. Really pisses me off actually.

No no, I have thought many times about *studying* to become a priest (or deacon), but for now I'm 'just' a web designer.

Andre Schumacher is the principal of the Net Beauty Institute, a Berlin-based web design company. Although his website is in German, he speaks English, German and Spanish fluently and serves clients globally. I know him personally and am happy to recommend him and his team.
