Anyone interested in going to Die Registratur on sat night?
It's a Zürich special with John Player. Sounds like it could be worth going to if you like that kind of thing

hey becs,

I hit the r last friday for the first time and I must say: what a piece of shite...

7e entry with unfriendly people at the door (I am not saying "difficult to get in", I mean "I thought one would be friendlier if I pay 7 bucks to get into the fricking most run down club in Munich ever")

Beer is 3,50 and while one might think that is okay for Munich, I wouldnt say that goes for that beat up ruin of a club.

Apart from that noone was there, apart from some fat guy on speed who constantly wanted people to follow his wacko dance...

Anyways, maybe it was just a bad night. Had to get it out of the system.

Ahh...

edit: what s up with tennis?

True enough, there are some down sides to Die Registratur, but IMHO it is the best club I've been to in Munich. No teenie-boppers, no kids puking in the toilet, no posers, and you are 100% guaranteed to hear nothing from the Grease or Dirty Dancing soundtracks. The music is real.
VDB
agreeing with DW, the place won't score high marks for it's looks but you aint paying that 7euro for that. If the music is your kind of thing it's one of the better places I've seen in Munich.

oh dear...now in dilemma
Well I'll think on it and decide what to do later in week depending on possible other suggestions. Must admit that €7 isn't bad for sat night in comparison to other entry fees

@CodeRed, tennis still on as usual.. court booked for tomorrow if you can make it. PM me if you can

The thing about Die Registratur is that they have very different nights on all the time. (i.e. it's not just house music every friday). So you may go and hate it, but got another time and love it, because the music ranges from house, to hip hop, to live stuff, to weird stuff.
But like DW says it's REAL music. The people there are generally there because they like the music. Last time I was there the door staff were pretty amiable. No problems, they weren't chatty and smiling at me, but then I don't expect that.
As for €7 - that's cheap in Munich!!!

@codered - Sorry you had a bad time at Die Registratur - check who's playing before you go next time.

p.s. I'm going on Thurs to see DJ Hell if anyones interested.

I find 7Es quite hefty.

I tend not to go anywhere where I have to pay more, unless the DJ lineup justifies that.

Also, quite a few clubs in Munich now have no entrance fee (such as (8 Seasons, P1 and Crowns Club - although the latter are places that do not guarantee party feeling)

I went to Palais last Friday (former brothel) and had a blast. Hot, steamy, dancing poles (oh yeeaaah), quite small...great music.

Registratur just wasnt playing house last Friday. Should have gone to Funky Kitchen, but somehow took the wrong entrance. blink.gif

@codered - I think this is where our taste in clubs differs. You have a Münchener taste, I don't!
SparkaHck
I'll give it a try.

I don't want to appear as a snobbish Munich party person, cause I do dislike
some of the party scene here (although the various Ps in MUC as well as 8S and CC host the finest females in town, no denying that)

, and - being from Stuttgart, where in my view, the music is also more REAL, I miss real club feeling here in muc. I remember some unforgettable D&B experiences in a shitty club on Stuttgart university campus called Universum.

But you pay 10 euros for a drink!!

Btw, Palais seems to be good (so I've heard), someone wants to check it out next time??
About this Saturday night, I can't 'cos I'll be in Holland!

The question is still the same:

"Anyone interested in going to die Registratur on sat night?"

Yes, me! rolleyes.gif
Big C
I've heard Palais is good too. But they don't seem to like me there. I even went with two german girls once and they still said no!!! But I've only heard good things about it.
Foxy
I've been to Palais - it is cool. Small and intimate and the night I went they had an after party too till 3 in the afternoon! Music was wicked, people were friendly.

As for Die Registratur, what type of music is it gonna be on Saturday?
Big C
I've never heard of this "john player" guy, but apparently he plays at illegal parties in Zurich. So I would imagine something on the harder side.
Could be wrong though... anyone been to any illegal parties in Zurich???
DrivinWest
I failed to mention that I think Die Registratur on Saturday is a good idea smile.gif

Was also thinking that Cordbar could be a possibility ?
Music in there is always cool and people arn't pretentious. €3 to get in after 11:30 (I think!)..very small but funky.
Thoughts people?
CodeRed
where is that?

Cord Bar is on Sonnenstraße - between Sendlinger Tor and Stachus
