Not trying to be rude, but do you really think you could just come to Germany and get money for your kids from the state? You have to pay into the system to get something back, and/or be a citizen. Why should the German government support an American family while both parents are studying? blink.gif

I did not think that Kindergeld would be given to foreign students; however, I thought it woudln't hurt to ask wink.gif . As far as private health insurance goes, would a family of four expect to pay around 200 Euro/month as a ballpark figure, or is that way off?
