Dear all,
is there anyone around here who has tried this one out and found it useful?
It is kind of a business-networking-community-type-of thing, unfortunately you can't browse it unless you register.
Although it is available in all sorts of languages it is dominated by Germans and tends to focus on German issues.

well, it is defo. dominated by germans. so if youre looking to make contacts here and would like to network in germany then its useful. otherwise not really a lively forum.

Well... I met my husband there! So I'd say it was useful for me!
The networking mixers once a month are nice, draw a big crowd and allow you to gather a bunch of contacts at once.

Very useful. I'm in FFM now on a job I got through a contact there. Don't use the forum though.

Prefer to use BNI. Much easier to make useful business contacts, as opposed to just making contacts. If anyone wants to come and see for themselves, you would be more than welcome. But the Open BC definitely has a place in the market. Just horses for courses!

Thanks for the invitation.
I don't think I'd have the time to attend weekly evening meetings.
(on the website they stress the importance of regular attendance).
What is the atmosphere like? More like a club or rather formal?
I suppose there must be something else to it than just exchanging business cards...

I use
openBC for recruiting staff and find it very useful. OpenBC is not only used in Germany.
Try searching in other locations.

What do you people think of the new openBC/Xing layout? I don't see such a big improvement. Kind of liked how it looked before to be honest.

Just logged onto this for the first time in a while. Looks pretty much the same as before. Only awkward thing was it didn't recognise my password and login from before so I had to reset it.
Only thing it's good for is allowing recruitment consultants to contact you...and stalking
