This article says that Iran has the largest jewish community of any Arab country. It has a representative in the Parliament and a Fatwa from Komeini protects them.

Had a great idea in a late night discussion for resolving the problems in the middle east - in particular with Israel:

The international community helps fund the Israelis in gaining land from the sea - much like the Dutch did. Then they move to this new piece of land.

End result: The Jews have a peaceful homeland, and the Arabs also score a victory by successfully pushing them into the sea.

Everybody wins...

I'd put in a fiver for that cause...or maybe not, why should this bunch of religous peeps get their own land, all the other religions don't.
