Hi, just want to gather as much opinions as possible wether to buy the cordless phone for Skype.
I am thinking of buying one, however what scares me is that I hear no rumor about it; good nor bad.
Does anyone have one? Does it work well? How far can you be to hear well from your PC?
Let me hear your opinons or what you hear from other poeple.
Thanks!

in my experience, there is no need to get a "bluetooth headset for skype" - ANY bluetooth headset will do, so long as it works with your computer.

And since such headsets are a commondity technology, pick one for comfort and battery life, and maybe some additional features like mute. a working range of about 5-8 meters (unobstructed) is typical, iirc, but remember that the signal does not go thru thick german brick walls...

Also, it seems to me that all these handsets for skype are mostly a marketing gimic - ok granted, for some people they do make the technology more comfortable. but it is not necessary to have such a thing.

The money could be better spent on a phone adapter. Allowing you to use your existing phone, and using the internet phone service without having to have the computer on.
You'd need to sign up to another voip service like skype but one that uses the sip standard as Skype is non standard.

Some adapters will actually support Skype without a connected PC, but in general a generic VoIP/SIP adapter is a better way to go than being tied to the Skype service, and maybe even cheaper.
