Ultimate Frisbee in the Hirschgarten

Have not been to the largest ( and best ) beer garden in Munich yet? Well come to the Hirschgarten and play ultimate( frisbee) and visit the best beer garden in Muncih. The Hirschgarten is the largest beer garden in Bavaria and it has cute little deer that nuzzle you as you drink beer.
We meet at 6:30 in the spiel platz area in Hirschgarten which is located north of the Laim s-bahn. When you exit the station head north, down the stairs and through the underpass( pedistrian and cars) that circumvent the rail tracks. Walk into the park and follow the "paved path" until you see us throwing some discs. Also I will meet people at the Laim station at 6:20 to show them the pitch
The group has been meeting for a few seasons but lately some holidays and returnees to the US have decreased the numbers of players. It is a good game of ultimate with many experienced players but new people are always welcome. As there may be rain this week I will post if the game is on here on Thursday at 2pm. Let me know if you are interested so we are sure to have a game.

EDIT: reread post. wow ultimate frisbee 3x a week? phew. i get tired just thinkin' about it.

@Elfenstar: Nope, it's another option if TT isn't enough! TT Ultimate continues it's relaxed games twice a week on Wednesdays and Sundays. This is another group who play at a somewhat higher and faster level.

Hopefully the weather will clear up... I'll be there at 6:20 at the trainstation but unfortunately will have to wait until next week to enjoy the biergarten afterwards. Till then, -A

The weather is not to good for ultimate. The game is cancelled for tonight. We will try again next Thursday, August 11.

The weather is calling for rain on Thursday but the call for a game will be made at 2 pm. There is lots of interests for a game this week. Unfortunately I will not be able to be there as I have a Jazz evening to attend to. I will post a list of names if the weather looks like it will favor a game.

Last night was really good.
We had a great game of 5 on 5, enjoyed some nuzzling by the deers, thanks to jake's carrots and even got to see the elusive Hirschgarten firebreather while enjoying our masses of König Ludwig dunkel.

LOOKS LIKE TONIGHT IS CANCELLED. Next week Aug. 31 will be a huge game so plan on it.

Hello all.
Just arrived from Chicago this week. Will be here for 6 months! Want to continue playing Ultimate. I'm alright - been playing for over 6 years, although am getting up there in age.
I did send out a note to the group who play in 'English Gardens'. But I have NO idea about Munich YET. I'm staying in Munich Parlach (NH München am Ring at Ottobrunner Straße 17).
First of all, are you guys still playing? If yes, when is the next game?
AND can someone give an idea of how far this field is?
