Do any TTers work out in the sticks like me near to this famous Beergarden?

Jeremy, Thursday is football, and there's no way I'm getting stuck panting for breath, trying to cycle home in time to watch the game. But, any other day and I'd likely be there, if I'm not working.

Silly me! Didn't think! I will also be watching the football.

how easy is it to get there with public transport?

Not that easy. It's at least a 20 minute walk away from the S-Bahn. And the road can be pretty dark on the way back, so that could be an even longer walk back after a few Maß.

Well, it is near my little bit of Munich so I'd go along for sure.

Okay then, how about Friday 5pm?

If the weather looks good enough for me to cycle out there and back, I'm up for it.

There's a perfect stretch for blading between Wettersteinplatz and Kugler Alm. I'll be there for sure (with blades on) on Friday if the weather is good. 4EUR Radlers...whoohooo!

Okay for those cycling:

U1 to Mangfallplatz with bike. Come out towards Oberbibergerstraße

Cycle down towards the Perlacher Forest main entrance, past Tengelmann and the Kindergarte on the left.

Bomb down Oberbibergerstaße dead straight road, under the railway bridge, past Nußbaum Ranch and bomb on to the Alm.

A small crowd, but very nice, despite twisting my ankle on the way there. The weather held out for us and we enjoyed being able to sneak in a beer in the afternoon. Nice to meet you Jeremy and Moko! Canuck, it was nice to see you as well, eh?

Good call Jeremy, we should go there again soon...maybe for their Oktoberfest in August? Hope your ankle is feeling OK now eh?(kiwi style) showem.

Thanks to all who braved the iffy weather! We shall do it again one time. Glad all enjoyed it. Hopefully we will get better weather next time!

Hmm. Today is the first day since the last Kugler visit that my ankle doesn't hurt. Would I be tempting fate? We'll see, I'll give you a yes or no later.

Sorry Jeremy, I'm going to have to say no this time. Doing some girlie shopping at that time with a friend.

But I'm still interested in drinking! Anyone fancying a beer in town this afternoon should PM or call me. That sunshine is begging to be enjoyed while the rest of you poor things have to work.
