well the questions are usually quite general, a mixed bag, but good.
some currents events, some sports, and history.
there's a picture round and a music round.
there were a couple british questions that i had NO idea about
and some tricky american trivia
it's quite a fun mix of questions.
hab' kein angst.

ah, ok, then I'll be ok then. on trivial pursuit - haven't played in ages, but used to have the original one - i used to do well on the blue, the brown so-so, but was awful on the entertainment (pink) and if there was anything about baseball in sports, forget it

That'll make us a good team then.
Mat and I are crap at Geography and Literature. Mat's good at sport and all sorts of general knowledge. I'm good at entertainment and SOME general stuff (depends) - we were a good team with Tor - and Jules, the waitress.
Let's make the Guinea Pigs weep... (Dave, you would like that, too, wouldn't you?!!!)
Looking forward to meeting you - off to medieval market now

I would love to join although I'm crap at this kind of stuff. Luckily there is alway a beer alternative.
How would I recognize you all? Is everyone wearing a helmet? :-)
I certainly will wear my beige shoues and matching bag. Not sure about the rest ?-)

With Tor, Silty, Mat and me we are four already, and it depends if Jules wants to play with us or not, we'll know that when we're there.
But if we have a full team already I'm sure we will find another nice team for you. And we can always still sit together.
Ask the bar staff or the quizmaster for Mat and Karin, most of them know us (if they are not very new).

Sorry Cookie and I haven't been by in awhile. Out of town and then I was sick. We should be there this weekend for sure.
Jen, definitely come by. My husband and I were newbies a few months ago and came without knowing anyone. There was a large table of people from Toytown and everyone was very welcoming. It's lots of fun and there's plenty of good beer and salt and vinegar flavored chips/crisps too.

8.30pm. Get the S-bahn from Reeps to Jungfernstieg. If you're facing the Rathaus, take the road left of it and walk about 200 metres until you come to Borsenbrücke. There's a tea-shop on the corner. When you're there, you'll be able to see the pub.

So, yeah, I came down, but managed to miss the first few rounds (as usual work stuff intervened at the last minute and I had to take up a load of flooring) but then of course realised I had no clue what anyone looked like, and wasn't feeling up to randomly wandering about asking people if I knew them off the interweb. Got chatting to some random english dudes at the bar, had a couple of mini-pints (bit steep at nearly 4 euros for 400mls! - that's about €40 just to get pissed!) and decided to trundle back home for something to eat... I might have been a bit more sociable if I hadn't had a fairly crappy end to last night then been stood up and had my bed rained in... Next time though!

Thanks for showing me back to the U-bahn (the thing I don't know) haha I found my way to Sternschanze and then to Altona thank fucking shit. I walked from there and I bought a beer on the way (a turkish shop in ottensen). I am having difficulty with this message. It took 10 minutes to correct my spelling. Peace

Haha, you lightweight.
Although if you live within walking distance of Altona you could just walked as far as Reeperbahn station then it wouldn't have been so far! Actually I am quite surprised how close all these districts are to each other! I always assumed Hamburg was a bit of a sprawl but I reckon you could walk from Altona to Jungfergsteig in about 30 minutes brisk walk. Mind you I am kind used to walking fairly long distances, 'cos my home town in England (Exeter) has 0 public transport after 2200 so you get used to long walks from one side of the city to the other.
