We're still in Munich and might go to a quiz tonight with our old Hamburg team - all the members are here at the moment

i think there's a rugby match tonight, which would cancel the Quiz. I'll call a little later and see.

I presume there's no quiz this Sunday night either because of the rugby? Former Wahl-Hamburger and semi-regular quizzer here, on a weekend trip to HH/Berlin this Fri-Mon - would have been good to check in and have a (no doubt fruitless) pop at a top 3 placing again, but I fear our plans may be thwarted!

Correct!...one question at least right, no quiz due to Rugby. Starts up again Oct 21...Quiz League beginning Oct 28th!!

Matt and I meant to go but had such a busy weekend that staying home in our warm apartment sounded glorious. How was the quiz?

well, we didn't win, but we didn't do too badly either. Tor probably got more correct answers than I did but as a two-man team, I think we did OK. In fact one of the other teams was so impressed by our superior skillz they wanted to join us (well, 'borrow' our answers then split the beer prize...) but I was having none of it!

It was quite a bit busier than the last one I went to, also, which was nice. The first time I went I must have hit a dead sunday, which put me off a bit, but it was quite lively really!

Well, we'll most likely be there this next Sunday, especially if Hammonia starts hosting every other week.

So - anyone up for it this evening...?

Paddy's day isn't the 17th this year. The vatican have changed it to the 15th for some obscure and unfathomable reason of their own

Firstly The Vatican has no influence on Ireland's National Day, in Ireland it's now a commercial thing so most events are organised for the Saturday & Sunday. We in Finnegans being really traditional will start on Fri & finish on Tues!!!...the more the merrier. To Laurel we'll be having the usual party on the Monday evening if you feel the urge to dress up or act like a Leprachaun!!

Hello, I am Baden... Just joined/moved to HH and I would be down for some quiz action if there is a slot for me drinking some green beer on Sunday.
Now if I can just find someone to play Skat with, that would really be something.

I think im up for Sunday too, although im not sure how I will be feeling after saturday night as I am planning on going to that new club night which is posted on another thread. Bit of a lightweight these days not sure if I'll be fit to go out sun evening as well, but I will definately try.
