Dunno, Dave, we were in Manchester for the weekend, but came 2nd the weekend before.
Indeed it's a bit difficult sometimes to find more than two people for the team, the Sergeant is travelling a lot (and so are we lately) and as you know quite a few have left Hamburg.
Was hoping to see you there again, sad to hear that it's not going to happen
At least Mr. Exaaaactly from Belfast is back
Take care!

As far as I know they do - at the moment they still have world cup shirts for sale behind the bar, but am sure they still sell the Finnegan's polo-necks.
Just call and ask.

The quizzes are very much still on. Hammonia ran the quiz last night. Was good to see her back on stage again. New teams are always welcome. More the merrier. I don't know when the quiz league starts again. Maybe Hammonia has more info?

Erm, no, I haven't.
Haven't discussed it yet, but suppose it will be sometime end of October this year. And then through to January with a little break in December.
Will keep you posted.
anyone going to the quiz tomorrow?
let's get a team together!

Do I need to be part of team, or as a random female Brit with quite a large brain and encyclopedic knowledge of Take That

can I just turn up and join in with a friendly team?
I can't make it 5 Nov, but could make it week after.
Thanks
Hammonia
Oct 13 2006, 8:15 am
You can just turn up and you will surely find a friendly team, just ask me (if I'm there, but I'm not doing the quiz every week) or ask Bernd, the guy with the glasses who hands out the answering sheets, he knows which team has vacancies.
BTW: quiz is on every Sunday, it's only that the league starts on Nov 5th.
I'm sure encyclopedic knowledge of Take That is highly appreciated
is the quiz happening this sunday, the 15th?
if so, anyone else going to be there?

ach tor, next time not so last-minute! I would have gone had you reminded me. How about next Sunday?
BTW, do you find the questions are general, or is there a British bias to them, ie if you know squat about Premier League or BBC sitcoms outside of Fawlty Towers and /or Monty Python, you're sunk?
I was alone last night and with a little help from one Waiters I WON!.
I would have a respectable score alone...
well the questions are usually quite general, a mixed bag, but good.
some currents events, some sports, and history.
there's a picture round and a music round.
there were a couple british questions that i had NO idea about
and some tricky american trivia
Well done!
(we'll ignore the 'help' bit)
well, i always give credit where credit is due...
i didn't solicit his help, he just offered,
i just benefitted the most from a little answer swapping...
the atmosphere is quite relaxed, it would be easy enough to cheat if you
really wanted to win...
and i the €30 bar gutschein quenched many a thirst after the quiz.
ok, let's try this again...
tonight... anyone...?

You can even play alone if you like

- more drinks for you if you win.
The rule is: MAX. 5 people - no rules for a minimum quantity.
We will be there on Sunday, but remember: this time it's at 6:00 p.m. as there's Karaoke afterwards (good fun last time!!)
Hey Tor! You still up for trying it again? Would really love to beat the Guinea Pigs this time... And of course hope to hear an educated voice at the Karaoke later - one or two new people that don't make your ears bleed would do good
I am planning to come... trying to cram some brit pop into my head! This time I swear the Take That will be an answer.
I also will bet money on 'parthenogenesis'.
So, what does the attendance from TT look like?
