Bedroom window broke when it slammed shut during the night. Anybody any experience with glaziers and repair of windows in Munich? Rough estimate of cost and availability? Any experience and recommendations? Kind of an emergency.

Cheers in advance smile.gif

If your home/renters insurance covers glass, then call the insurance company, and they'll handle it.

Found a few places. These guys here, Peter Wenzel in Neuhausen are pretty friendly on the phone, but to come and repair a window in situ costs 180-90 EUR. For a 43x103 cm windowpane it's a tad steep. Bring the frame to tem and they'll do it for 90.

Another place in Harras does it for 110-20 EUR in situ and 80 if you bring the frame to them. Glaserei Hausberger is the name.

Advantage with this place is that they're open Saturdays too until 6pm.

I'll report back on how he was when it's fixed and done.

It's a single sheet pane in an old wooden window frame, the house is Altbau.

Do you live North east south or west of the centre or in the centre its self.. Right in the centre, in Glockenbach.

Glaserei Hausberger did the repair in 3 hours for the value price of 70 EUR. It's a quality job and they were friendly and fast. Recommended.
