My name is Cristal and I'm an American au Pair for a wonderful family in Munich. My time as an au Pair will be over in January, but I would like to stay longer in Munich to work full-time as a babysitter/nanny and continue to learn German. I have been an au Pair for a little over a year now for three German children ages 2, 4, and 6. I also have worked for 2 years as a swim instructor for all ages and levels. As an au Pair, I have given the children swim lessons, I help them build their English skills, and simply have a great time with them. I'm looking for another family whose children I can care for. Ich mag lieber eine Familie, die Deutsch spricht. While caring for the children, I would like to help them with their English and ideally build my own German language skills. Non-English speaking children are also great for me!

I would like to offer to take care of one child (aged around 12 months old) on a part-time basis from January 2010.

I am the mother of a baby boy who will be one in January, and I have decided to stay at home (whilst studying early-years child education) rather than return to work as an adult English teacher. The idea is that I will take care of a child of a similar age for upto 20 hours or 2/3 days per week. The German term for this is I believe 'Tagesmutter'.

The child would be in capable, loving hands. He or she would be fully included in all of the activities (playground, art, music etc) I plan to do with my son. I live close to Odeonsplatz and the English Garden. This would probably suit someone who wants to return part-time to work and is looking for an alternative to a day nursery.
