Co-ed softball in the English Garden

Hi... New to Munich and this forum. I'll play Sunday. Count me in.

Hey, I'm definitely still up for it, 11 would be fine by me just now, BUT, I may have to drop out if I end up getting flat viewing that has to be at that time. I'll post by Saturday night if that's the case. Fingers crossed that won't happen, getting fed up of it now...

toast is effing sick. i think it's the sars. i don't suppose someone wants to pick up the stuff?

The usual start time has been 1pm. Can we not do it around then as I have Touch Rugby from 11?? Also if we start from 1, then the Softball will end around the time Ultimate Frizbee starts so it will fit nicely into the schedule.

I might be able to play, depends on what my kids are doing.

I might even be able to find some softer practice balls for those who want to keep their youthfull unblemished looks.

I can't play that late as I have a prior engagement at 3. If you play at 1, will have to bow out. Not my call, though. Majority rules.

I can't make 11 due to touch rugby as well. 1pm would be fine though.

Alrightie then...since Toast is on her deathbed (suffering from Dragon Ass or Tiger Taint or somesuch) someone needs to go pick up the gear from her. I don't mind doing that, but I can only play early. If the game's at 11, I'll gladly get the gear. If it's later, someone else will have to do it. In that case, if I have time, I'll swing by the part at 1 to drop off the bases I bought.

I'd like to join too ... anytime is fine with me.

Our plans are still undecided for tomorrow. If we stay in Munich with our Canadian visitors then softball is an option. We shall see. We're def planning to have a shot of ouzo tomorrow evening with the birthday bitch however.

I would like to play. The 'normal' time of 1pm works better for me.

Do we have a confirmed time for softball tomorrow, should the rain not dampen the whoe idea??

Sounds like 1:00 is a winner. If it's raining, I doubt we'll play, or? Also, does somebody still need to pick up the equipment? I could probably stop by and pick it up, depending on where Toast lives.

As far as I'm aware, the equipment still needs to be picked up. I can't play that late but I may be able to swing by and drop off the bases. Toast has the rest of the stuff.

Anyone know where she lives? If it's not too far from me I'll pick it up. I suppose I could pm her...

Edit: Or I could just read her profile to figure out she lives in Bogenhausen. I can pick up the softball gear tomorrow.

But I'm not going to go out of my way to pick up the softball stuff if nobody else wants to go to softball today.

The organisation of this game has been a shambles. It should be managed the way that frisbie is. Pick a time, make it weekly and stick those details on the main thread. 11 will always be a bit too early due to the large number of people who go out and get wasted the night before. 1pm is more reasonable. People will soon get used to the time and will come along. Also, most other sports can be played in the rain, so why not this one? It wasn't that bad out there earlier. I'm well up for this but it's got to be more organised and just stick to one plan!!!

well, pardon me. I wasn't going to make an extra trip clear into the city to pick up softball equipment, then drive over to the English Garden if nobody else was going to show up. But thank you for your suggestion. I agree that sticking to a set plan is much easier to organize than mixing things up. I guess we could have played in the rain... but yuck. I think you frisbee guys are a bit more hardcore than us softball folks - but I could be mistaken.

Is there no Softball this weekend?
