The Beta Band

Saw them last time they played here (2002?) - one of the best concerts I've been to, depsite not knowing much of their music before I went.

Might go and get a ticket tonight.

Any idea where they're playing? Munich isn't listed on their Tour Dates page.

EDIT: Oops. It's in the title: Elser Halle
Foxy
They are a group of lads from Edinburgh. Their sound veers from a kinda post-grunge balladry to funk and ambient breakbeat to Manchester acid house. In other words, they are pretty unconventional, eclectic and unlike any band you probably know. Its hard to put a genre on them. They have worked with the likes of Oasis, The Verve's Nick McCabe and toured with Radiohead. They have just released a new album called Heroes to Zeros which is the reason for their tour. An album which most are bound to have heard at least a few tracks from is Hot Shots II...

Unfortunately, I have just realised that they are actually playing the same night I am going to see James Brown so cannae go. I HIGHLY recommend them though, so if you fancy a bit of a boogie to a tres cool band, then head along.

They're great. I saw them support Radiohead in Vancouver back in 2000.
Been around a few years now, but are finally getting some recognition over the last couple of years.
Anyhow, that's the night that James Brown is playing - so Foxy what are you doing suggesting going?
Foxy
Yeah I realised that - totally gutted sad.gif
chris the 4th
ahh bum, ill not be here for them.

The concert was cancelled. They didn't even put up a notice - just left everyone standing there wondering what was going on. Cunts.
Malcolm Spudbury
According to their website the entire German tour is cancelled because the vocalist/guitarist has sprained his wrist.

No mention of any new dates.

And I thought it was bad that James Brown didn't do an encore. These guys didn't even turn up in the first place.
