Stay with me, My love I hope you'll always be Right here by my side if ever I needed you Oh my love
In your arms, I feel so safe and so secure Everyday is such a perfect day to spend Alone with you
I will follow you will you follow me All the days and nights that we know will be I will stay with you will you stay with me Just one single tear in each passing year
With the dark, I see so very clearly now All my fears are drifting by me so slowly now Fading away
I can say The night is long but you are there Close at hand I'm better for the smile you give And while I live
I will follow you will you follow me All the days and nights that we know will be I will stay with you will you stay with me Just one single tear in each passing year there will be

Ah the Charlatans. Their best song too, for me at least. But right now I have St Etienne "Only Love Can Break Your Heart" because it is Neil Young done rather twinkly.

The last DVD I bought was "Dub Side of the Moon" and I play it continuously in the car. My favourite is the third track "Time is the master and time can be a disaster". Obviously it would mean nothing without the original Pink Floyd version but for now at least I like it so much better. From what I understand you can synchronisation it with the 1939 file Wizard of Oz but that is probably only good on a large screen TV and stoned on pot. Still anyone know how the synchronisation works?

This even gets my shoulders moving. On heavy rotation in a helmet near you.
I'm not smiling because I'm overtaking your sorry stuck in traffic ass, I'm smiling beacuse I can hear some laid back individual drawl "Rastafari" in stereo.

Give It to Me - the first single from Timbaland's second solo album Timbaland Presents Shock Value
I predict this track is going to be the smash summer hit in the clubs. It's got an insidious, deep, dirty beat that I cannot get out of my head. In case you don't know the backstory, apparently Timbaland's taunting verse (I'm a real producer / and you just a piano man) is aimed at fellow hip-hop super-producer Scott Storch, with whom he has an ongoing rivalry. And JT apparently is calling out Prince for remarks made about his 'Sexyback' single (If sexy never left / then why is everybody on my shit? / Don't hate on me just because / you didn't come up with it).
I reckon Timbaland is without a doubt the best and most influential (not to mention innovative) producer working right now. I know a lot of people don't like the mainstream Justin Timberlake/Nelly Furtado stuff, and to those people I say: Timbaland is also producing Björk's new album. How's that for avant-garde?
He's also an arrogant cock, but he has the skills to back it up.
I am hearing (but not listening to) the children from next door's daycare playing in their yard behind the office. You have to admire their endurance and volume!

The Beatsteaks - Sharp,Cool&Collected
The new CD is rather goood and I don't understand entirely why a band of their calibre isn't global. Any frontman who crowdsurfs with a real surfboard must be doing something right.

seasons of love from Rent
five hundred twenty five thousand six hundred minutes five hundred twenty five thousand moments so dear five hundred twenty five thousand six hundred minutes how do you measure? measure a year
in daylights, in sunsets, in midnights, in cups of coffee, in inches, in miles, in laughter, in strife
in five hundred twenty five thousand six hundred minutes how do you measure a year in a life? ...

Floydian magic at its finest David Gilmour'sOn An Island. The critics were right, it's brilliant.
One of my favourite songs ever from the Romantic Era... the sweeping melodies, the tension, the virtuoso, the beauty.

In the Dutch mountains by the Nits. Those crazy dutch!
I was born in the valley of bricks Where the river runs high above the rooftops I was waiting for the cars coming home late at night From the Dutch mountains I was standing in the valley of rock Up to my belly in an early fog I was looking for the road to a green painted house In the Dutch mountains In the Dutch mountains Mountains I met a woman in the valley of stone She was painting roses on the walls of her home And the moon is a coin with the head of the queen Of the Dutch mountains Mountains I lost a button of my shirt today It fell on the ground And it was rolling away Like a trail leading me back To the Dutch mountains To the Dutch mountains Mountains I met a miller on the back of a cow He was looking for the wind but he didn't know how I said: Follow the cloud that looks like a sheep In the Dutch mountains In the Dutch mountains In the Dutch mountains Mountains Mountains Buildings

I have mostly been listening to selection from a boxed 10-CD set:
Alberto Y Los Trios Paranoias Kill did make me chuckle, Adam And The Ants Deutscher Girls I finally figured out, and as for John Otway And Wild Willy Barrett doing Really Free, nearly wet myself laughing. Otway was me mum's dustman when that hit the charts. What else have we got? The Leyton Buzzards Saturday Night Beneath The Plastic Palm Trees, Spizz Energi Where's Captain Kirk?...
mingus -- better get hit in your soul, out of tinny laptop speakers, so the band sounds about four inches tall.

crazy, crazy, crazy from Spearhead.
Shine on All my people, who been broken hearted Shine on From the place where all life has been started When you need fresh air Go beyond horizons, to your place in the sun Shine on Let your heart be boundless like your faith in the one
It's crazy, crazy, crazy No stoppin' to this warfare It's crazy, crazy We're breathing in the same air It's crazy, crazy, crazy Don't tell me that you don't care...
Sing on From the language of your ancestors and Sing on Be playful in your innocence and Lift your head up high And rejoice for all you see without your eyes Sing on Like a bird that's makin' love in sunset skies
No life's worth more than any other No sister worth less than any brother
