On the radio they're playing
The Little Drummer Boy, sung by Bing Crosby & David Bowie. It's one of my favorite Xmas tunes.

Trying to achieve some measure of calm in midst of pre-Christmas mountain of deadlines by playingBudd/Eno ambient noodlings "The Pearl", while typing fingers off - unfortunately effects of calming ambient noodlings considerably reduced by the range of mad sounds coming at enormous volume from Garibaldi's high-tech mobile in the next office. Considering switching to The Damned "I Just Can't be Happy Today"

Democracy by Leonard Cohen. I think it's an appropiate song to listen to these days.
I'm a big fan of Cohen, and this song I'm listening to right now - streaming on the internet from AirAmerica Radio - just touches me.
It's coming to America first,
the cradle of the best and of the worst.
It's here they got the range
and the machinery for change
and it's here they got the spiritual thirst.
It's here the family's broken
and it's here the lonely say
that the heart has got to open
in a fundamental way:
Democracy is coming to the U.S.A.
Dave Brubeck Quartet - Blue Rondo a la Turk. Kewl morning music.

Same here Renia, was enjoying the absolute silence in the morning. I love public holidays since my neighbours are silent throughout those days. Now that I started cleaning I can also start listening all sorts of stuff.

I really hate housework

so I put on some nice songs while I am cleaning and sing along as I am cleaning, so that it's not so unbearable for me. My music that I listen to let's say when working out is totally different, like I listen to house music or rap.
