I can't really give an honest review of it as i've only listened to it once so far. I need another 2 or 3 times before I can be objective about it. All I can say is that the beats are more aggressive, the production is tight, and the lyrics aren't quite as hard hitting as the first two albums.

just listened to one of the tracks of the new portishead album 'machine gun' - love it!!! dark brittle metallic sounds, great production - certainly not dinner party music though!!! more for headphones walking through the city
