You are not flying Air China are you? I did that a few years ago from Bejing to FRA. Seats laid out for chinese.
I'm over 6' tall. Spent most of the flight stood up talking to about the only other European on the flight - a
retired female professor who'd been on some lecture tour...
Owain Glyndwr
Apr 4 2007, 4:07 pm
yep.
however, since even my girlfriend refers to me as "The Hobbit", height is not a problem. My breadth might be though. I certainly don't have chinese hips. I assume that this won't be a problem in business class though.
I had the choice of economy to frankfurt (with Air China), connecting to Munich or Madrid in business class also with Air China.

my company may book us in business class for interconti travel but we don't get to keep the miles; they go to a central account. Fucking krauts!

I'd be happy if they serverd me stir fried rat. accompanied by another 10 beers, that is.

My previous employer did that (tried to change the "rules") but I left them - that wasnt the only reason.
After handing in my resignation I booked two tickets for me & my (then 7yr son) to Manchester...
Current company lets us keep miles - I bought this up at interview with the then HR chief & he said
we had the discomfort of travel & so keep the miles. Times have got harder in meantime so
they could always try it on - I suspect the Betriebsrat might baulk

tis a taxable benefit, therefore the company keeps the miles,or should. But it seems only big companies are strict on this for fear of a tax audit.

Define "big" - I'm in German branch of an international computer manufacturer - but luckily (?) now I dont report through the German management tree...

big as in companies that *could* be liable to pay big taxes in Germany, nit necessarily big companies worldwide.

I spent a good 45 minutes in a pharmacy today.
My ENT specialist gave me a prescription for three medications. One was filled in wrong (N1 instead of N2), and he forgot to sign when he manually changed that (I didn't even notice it, nor would I have known that he had to do that). So I am at Marienplatz at the Apotheke, and the doctor is in Ottobrunn, and it is just 1pm so the office is closed, and he won't be there tomorrow either!
Now they couldn't give me the N2 package because they have to confirm with the doctor first that he prescribed it. So I got the N1 package (without the box), and on Tuesday they will call the doctor and confirm with him that the prescription is okay, and then send me the box for the N2 package, and 30 pills in the mail (and fill the other 20 into the N1 box they kept). I am leaving for HD on Tuesday, so if I have the time, I will try and stop at the pharmacy to pick it up instead of them having to send it to me.
I just cannot believe this huge ordeal all because the doctor did not sign his name! Shouldn't he know he has to do that?! Grrrr!
I also hate that I will be on 3 different medications for the next 16 days! And that my arm still hurts from the IV this morning and looks all red and blue (why do I bruise so easily)?
And that I will indeed not get my paycheck for March until May (see previous rant post)! Fuck! I could have really used that money.
And a professor e-mailed me that his class is full already! Ungh!
ach! I went to another Rewe tonight, thinking, I would save time because its smaller and I had other errands to run in the area... the aisles were so narrow, only one person can walk down at a time, was an elderly lady blocking the aisle I needed to get down, and they are the long long aisles, not the short ones.

Apr 4 2007, 6:22 pm
You should have pulled her walking stick from under her and then just stepped over her!
she had not walking stick, but a cart, and she couldn't reach over from the back of the cart to put the stuff in, but had to place the wares in from the side- further blocking the aisle... I am too nice to knockover an old person!
my parents are definately unhappy with something I did. I'm aware that I'm 25 and I don't live with them and my choices are my choices, but it's still not fun having a mother who's mad at you thus me subsequently questioning if I did mess up.

oh how right you were. Air China staff handed us a small bottle of water at the start of the flight and then ignored us for 10 hour before the came round and served us some inedable crap just before landing. I hadn't eaten anything since breakfast except a pot noodle in the lounge so the meal (which was served at lunchtime Beijing time) was the first real thing to eat in over 24 hours.
And then to top it off

we can add Air China (see above), the Spanish and Iberian to the list of fucking fuckers! First of all the fuckers (Iberian) wouldn't honour my business class ticket and stuffed me economy (despite business class being empty) where you had to buy fucking food and drinks (I was starving and thirsty by this time and only had €4 in cash) and then the fuckers went and lost both my fucking suitcases!

And this is business class?
It doesnt look as if Air China are Star Alliance members. They used at least to be LH partner of some sort.
AH - just see that on the Miles&More page Air China come under "Weitere Partner"
I wonder who you can complain to.
The few times I got bumped up to business were pretty good (LH & UA).
If its any consolation the only time I flew Air China to FRA my luggage didnt make the connection either.

There are some really interesting and nice people online but there are some REAL RETARDS too. I mean retards who can't say something to your face so post it online for you to read it. Then again I believe they don't have the balls to say it to you offline. If you are A REAL MAN, have some balls and say it to someone's face and not post some BS online. Dorky boy.
