Yeah I did not mean to imply that you were as irresponsible as I can be at times. If you are already living on a tight budget even little things can throw you completely off track, and you have a child to care for as well, and that is expensive as well... hope you can get back on your feet within the next couple of months.

I'm not sure if I should post in Family Life or The Vent on this one. What kind of F**king country is this? I simply cannot get over the morons I meet in shops and businesses in this bloody country.
A shop that sells kids furniture in Haidhausen, it's called Kindermoebel. We should start an award scheme on TT for shops and businesses that we come across who have obviously gone to the East German School of How NOT to win friends and new custom.
München-Haidhausen SALTO - Möbel für Kinder
Preysingstrasse 39
81667 München-Haidhausen
www.kindermoebel-muenchen.deAnyway my little one is three years old, she passes this shop on her way home from Kindergarten everyday. Last week we were in there and she was loving all the stuff, the big soft polar bears on the bunk beds etc... She was climbing up on the things (no shoes) not doing any damage just being a typical 3 year old child. The lady in the shop was fine with it and even gave my little one a reflector for her backpack.
Today as we are coming past my little one wants to go in and have a look. No problem, daddy is cool with that; we enter the shop and are looking at the chairs just inside the window... my little one likes the pink chairs, so I'm thinking of getting that for her birthday in November.
Over walks Mr.Owner and asks me if he can help me? "No thankyou we are only having a look around" was the reply. Then Mr. Owner says that he is closed today and asks me if I would mind leaving?
WHAT?? The door is wide open? There is no sign that says "Montag, ruhetag" or "Heute geschlossen" what gives?
Finally to add insult to injury, he tells me "We are a business not a Kindergarten, we sell childrens furniture" (duh) "I understand that your child feels comfortable in my shop but we would prefer if you did not bring her in here"
Okay now when I was in college and studying marketing and how to win customers etc... I learnt that we did everything we could to win customers, can anyone shed any light on this for me? What is it with the mentality of these people? This is just plain wrong. Of course I mention it to "Her in doors" when I get home and who does she side with??? Me?? You've got to be kidding! Sometimes I think she's turned into one of the Bosch herself.
This is certainly not the way to encourage people to come and buy your furniture.
The guy is in business he operates his business in an area with a high concentration of children passing his windows everyday. The area is quite afluential. If I was in his shoes I would have a sign on my door saying please come in and bring your children, have a coffee and put your feet up.
I would have the complete catalogue of furniture on every table and be talking to mum and dad about payment plans etc for my TOO BLOODY expensive kids furniture.
We need to have a labeling system in this town for shops run by morons. AAAAAARRRRRRGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!

I am pissy today for so many reasons..
1. I forgot my wallet, thus had to borrow money for lunch and have no Monatskarte with me
2. S-Bahn was 20 minutes late AGAIN today since someone decided to jump in front of a train (can't they do that at night time and not during rush hour? Sheesh)
3. No one at work feels the need to answer any of my emails or phone calls. A simple "I'm on it" would do.. then I wouldn't feel like the biggest loser writing AGAIN: "sorry if I'm bothering you but I need that info right FUCKING now!"
Ugh. What's next?

I felt stupid today when Deutsche post staff laughed at me because I wanted to buy a stamp to post an letter with an 'Antwort' envelope. Didn't know that those don't need an stamp. I have had the crappiest day. After making my visitors breakfast & cleaning up (as I have done for the last week & they are not even part of my family) after them I was on my way to the shower for some time away from them & the door bell rings at 8:45 in the morning. It is someone sent to "re-grout" our tile around the shower. Ok. No notice what-so-ever! At this point everyone in the apartment except for me has had their shower. Did I mention that I was the only one that did anything that morning. Waiting on them like a f'ing servant because they are too stupid to take care of themselves. He then tells me that noone can shower until tomorrow morning. What???!!! Did I mention that my MiL took the last piece of Stollen from yesterday's breakfast (kind-off hiding it for myself). She honestly had enough nerve to take MY piece of Stollen & then carry on about how many calories are in beer... I hope that the butter that she put on the top of it is what clogs an important artery. Now, I am counting the hours until I can shower & just get over the whole issue.

I discovered today that I lost my MVV monthly ticket for October at the Wiesn on the last Sunday. That means I will either have to
- ride schwarz for the rest of the month (providing the S-Bahn is running)
- or pay €10 per day (Tageskarte Gesamtraum)
- or drive to work (no other option Thursday/Friday this week anyway!)
- or drive to the closest P+R, pay €1 parking and €6,70 per day (XXL Single Tageskarte)
Unfortunately, going on sick leave with a persistant cold is not an option.
[/vent]
As it was a transferable ticket I have no chance of getting a replacement.

Ignoring the moral issue (that has been done to death), Schwarzfahring on the S-bahn is a bad idea, if you're only taking U-bahns the chances of getting caught are a lot slimmer but they check all the time on S-bahns.
I used to get checked almost weekly on the S5 when I worked out of town.

The best response is to look down your nose at him and, conjuring your best Leslie Phillips or Terry Thomas voice, exhale a "Yees" in that demeaning way they have and walk off. There is, of course, no point in arguing as it is a matter of opinion, so spoil his fun and walk away. They hate it.
