Movie: Pirates of the Caribbean II

OK. There's the most useful review so far. I won't be taking Cookie to see it.

6 of us went to see it last night. 2 from East Germany, 2 from Bayern (though the girl was only 15), 1 from middle Germany and 1 from the UK. Cinema was packed and everyone had a thoroughly good time. We all enjoyed it and as far as I could see and hear, everyone else thought it was a great film. The only thing that was annoying were the group of Americans a couple of rows in front that applauded during various parts of the film (maybe there is a difficulty in distinguishing cinema from theatre or the ballet, etc) and one woman who had the loudest whooping laugh I have ever heard!.
For a fun and easily watchable movie then it is great

Yes, really annoying how it ended... now I will be dreaming kissing Johnny Depp for a full year, till they finish part III, and poor woman crying over there, and who was that ugly guy who walked down the stairs in the end???
Because if that was Jack Sparrow, I am not julia anymore!!!


I bet she begged for a kiss! I can fully understand her... lucky girl. *sigh*...

I heard it will be released in May 2007, less than a year away.

I do hope it's soon. The [lack of] ending really annoyed me. On the whole though, you get what you paid for: Pirates, Keira Knightley, big sailing ships, Keira Knightley, cannons, Keira Knightley, sea monsters. Worth a watch but I'm not convinced I would buy the DVD.

I agree Ben. It was annoying and a bit of a let down, the ending. It made the whole film feel like a filler film, and I'd been enjoying it up till then.

There SHOULD be some more kissing next time, between the two, that was so cool!!!

I wish the big "secret" was that Keira actually loves Jack Sparrow and not that milkyboy...
