Renting one-way moving vans (Munich to Vienna)?

I saw some different posts about people moving to and from Munich from further away and getting their stuff shipped - I was wondering if anyone had tried moving out of Germany using a rental van? Normally this should be pretty straight-forward but I'm running into a problem where the rental companies here won't allow you to do a one-way rental where the drop off is in another country (in my case, Austria).

Anyone have any experience with this or any ideas? I'm moving some furniture but it should all fit in a smaller truck or maybe even a large van.

Good question, no clue unfortunately...

I tried to do this moving from the UK, but I couldn't find anyone that would do it.

GregK just moved back to Vienna. He went over in the back of an old car and didn't use a van himself, but he might have some friends who know. Since he is in Vienna now he might not check this board so often and might miss this post, so give him a pm.

I Know a chap who Assists with removals etc, I am sure he will return the Van for you..
He obviously charges for his services, but he is well worth it..
