If you search for a special brand of beer, this is the place to go:

Graeff Getränke KG
Am Osdorfer Born 28
22549 Hamburg
Tel: 040-807 88 70

They sell more than 250 brands, with a wide range of bavarian beer amongst them. No English beer as far as I could see, couldn't check them all - but hey, you're in Germany, why would you drink English beer here? wink.gif

They also sell all other kinds of beverages, nice range of Whiskey/Whisky as well.

Some smart-arsing: did you know that over 4,000 brands of beer are being brewed in Germany? If you want to try a new brand every day it would take you abt. 11 years to try them all.

Cheers! biggrin.gif

I seem to remember seeing some Newcastle Brown Ale there just next to the Augustiner, just after the entrance. No comparison!

Actually, 1,250 breweries brew 7,500 different beers. Fortunately, most of the beers taste the same, so that saves a lot of time dry.gif

We now know these figures because an Englishman spent four years researching it. See Good Beer Guide Germany

Oops - maybe then I should inform Graeff's about the mistake on their homepage - seems to be quite out of date.

Well, that teaches me always to double-check information, especially since we have this Good Beer Guide at home rolleyes.gif Just couldn't throw a glance at it, cos' it's my bf's new bible... cool.gif

Maybe I can steal it from under his pillow tomorrow... laugh.gif

I had checked Newcastle with their search engine - didn't work - but maybe it's not updated...
