Cheap international calls from your cell phone

Been looking for this for a looooong time but finally found a solution which I would like to share.

Little history first. I spend a lot of time on the mobile talking to my daughter who lives outside Germany. As you can imagine the costs for calling are pretty high. SO been looking for a solution and found this:

You register. Set up an account. For only 5 dollars if you would like. Register your nr and the friends nr. Call them. Have them hang up and call you back on a local nr. (You do not hang up) Call gets established and away you go! Rates can be viewed as well.

Makes a hell of a difference in the phone bill.. well at least for me. As I call a local nr here in Germany to reach the rest of the world. It is alsmost the same as with a fixed line.

Not sure about this. Rebtel are certainly making ripples in the Telecomms markets, but to get the most benefits, particulary from mobile phones it's complicated to use and restricted to pre-stored numbers. As both caller and called need to make a local (or at least national) call, then both incur costs. For calls from landlines I see no benefits.

I agree. On the landlines it does not make a different. However if, like me your on the raod a lot and use your mobile to make international calls you can save a lot. It is not complicated at all and works fine. (well for the two weeks that I have been using it)
