Today's sale is on Logitech items. So if you are in need of a keyboard, mouse, web camera or similar then today is your day.
SleeplessInMunich
Todays sale is on LG.

SiM - wanted to say thanks for keeping this thread up to date so early on in the day. smile.gif Got me a new Logitech computer speaker set yesterday for 20% off, sweet.

But I was wondering... So today's brand is LG. LG makes amongst other things bad-ass LCD TVs, many of them in the 2000 euro range... Are these also 20% off? 400 euros is a pretty huge markdown... Or is anything in these price ranges not marked down because of the huge discount it would involve?

Anyone have any experience regarding the 1500+ euro items from these recent 20% off sales?
SleeplessInMunich
Well according to the advert it is 20% off all items by that maker but I can't say for certain. Best to actually go in a check in the shop. Some of the brands have been makers of large kitchen appliances and they had 20% off so I don't see why it wouldn't apply.
eriiki tubbs
High time for me to buy that new 32 inch LCD I've been wanting then. smile.gif

But, looking back through the thread, these are the brands that have been on sale so far:

Samsung
Sony
Siemens
Sharp
Bosch
Fujitsu Siemens
Krupp / Rowenta / Tefal
Brother
Philips
Panasonic
Bauknecht
Casio
HP
Logitech
LG

Doesn't leave many brands left for LCD TVs I suppose... sad.gif

was waiting for Pioneer for plasmas sad.gif

A very important one is missing:

Can't see any reason why the discount wouldn't apply on 1000 Euro + items.

We bought a 800 Euro cancorder (from Saturn @ OEZ) and got 20 % off

Another point to note is if they sel out (as long as you pay for the item on the day) they will order the item and call you when it's in stock (in our case it took 3 days) biggrin.gif
arshoo
since you seem to have researched this UA, which model you planning to go for, want a new one from cannon too but cant be bothered to search too much.
thanks

Saturn is 10% more at least than other electronic stores anyway. For those big LCD TV's, I guarantee you'll be able to find them online for under 20% off Saturns price any time you like..
SleeplessInMunich
Todays brand I'm not sure about...I was listening in on the radio and heard the advert but seeing as my German isn't the best it seemed to be something like IAD or EAD. Can anyone help me out? Sound familiar?

AEG

Ah, so that's what it was...so what do they make?

A620 is a great compact camera. You can get it for around 260 EUR when you buy from a online shop(incl. delivery cost). Or check HiFi Components Sendlingertor. They sell in their shop for 267 EUR and may be for less when you order from their online shop.

Good old Media Markt have it for 260€ as well. I'm heading to SanFran in 2 weeks and am going to buy a camera before then, but am holding out for Saturn. How many days are left anyway?

I'm thinking of getting one of their O2 XDA's for 79Euro... (these things sell on eBay for £300+, but I would keep it!)

You have to sign up for a two year contract, but it is just 9.99 a month for what looks like free calls to any German landline, and free calls to other O2 users. I would provide a link, but cannot find it on their website.

Does anyone know whether I would HAVE to have a German bank account for the contract, or would an English one do?

Not totally sure, but it is very likely that you require a German bank account since they usually need a direct debit set up, and their systems are designed for the German banks.

However what could be more of a problem is that they do a German credit check for any contract, and if you haven't lived in Germany for long and built up a good credit history in Germany then that would be a problem.

Today it's 20% of Braun
UrbanAngel
Braun... hairdryers and electric toothbrushes smile.gif
Mr.Mosh
Is this sale still going on?

If so, anyone know what todays company is?
SleeplessInMunich
I was listening in and there was an ad for Saturn and they said that the sales were still going on but they didn't mention a brand name today.
Mr.Mosh
OK, thanks!
Will check it out in my lunch break and post what it is if no-one else has.
mulah
I've just come back from Saturn (OEZ) and there was nothing 'obvious' on sale.
UrbanAngel
Yes, people have already said that it's not being directly advertised in-store; you have to ask.
Noirin
Just rang - apparently the 20% sale is over, today's deal is a computer for €899.
Mr.Mosh
I just got back, apparently there is still the sale going on, just not for a specific manufacturer.
They had various offers on, the computer as mentioned, a couple of LCD TV for a good price (Samsung was one of them, not a huge one though). then a couple of small deals on electric shavers etc.

I asked a couple of employees, none of them knew what was going on. quelle surprise

I had a look around on Saturday. As I mentioned in another thread I am about to buy a Canon Powershot A620, which costs €259 on Amazon and in Media Markt. Saturn were offering the camera for €299. So even if they do offer it for 20% off it's not a huge saving.
brokenm
I think you need to learn math. It is still a savings.
Showem
Today it's 20 things all for 20 Euros.
Topsy
20 Euros each, not the whole lot for 20 Euros

and it was 20 "cool" things, not just any old rubbish wink.gif
pootle
Oh nice camera rucksack. Time for a saturn visit at lunchtime!
ski
Anyone tried this place for digital cameras since they are cheap compared to other shops?

http://www.digitalrev.com/en/index.php?¤cy_code=EUR

The main office is in Hong Kong but they have local support in countries around the world, and on certain models they offer a choice of UK model or Hong Kong model (prices don't include tax and delivery).
NOFXmike
Ski:

Well...price doesn't include shipping or import tax.

So I added the one I want to my cart, and shipping alone adds 26.14 euro, plus tax of 27.89...so you have to add: 54 euro to get the real price from that site...

I think you need to learn to read. I said:

it's not a huge saving.

In fact it is a saving of €19.80 over the Media Markt price: in total 7.6% .

I bought my Canon Ixus 60 a week ago. But I think some of you wanted to buy it as well. I just saw the following ad from Saturn in today's Süddeutsche: Canon Ixus 60 for 259 Euro and Hama SD 512 Speicherkarte 14.99.

Due to inventory, Saturn Freising will be closed today (11 September 2006), all Munich branches are open. Tomorrow (12 September 2006), all Munich branches will be closed and Freising will be open.
Small Town Boy
Thanks for that info BB; I was halfway out the door on the hunt for some obscure battery when I remembered your post!
