Book binders in Munich

I am looking to turn a couple of ratty old large paperback books that I use all the time into hardbacks that will last for years. I saw that place on Barerstr next to Mr. Lodge but was wondering if anyone has any recommendations as to a really good book binder and what the average cost might be.

That place on Barerstr is more like a copy shop and they didn't have any samples of their work.

I thought I saw a thread earlier but I tried to search for it here and I couldn't find it.

Thanks

No clue about places here in Munich but you could try the German Book Binder's Alliance
These guys are probably more into the handwork/high end sector but perhaps they can point you in the right technical and local direction.

Thanks jml. The addresses listed on that site seem to be every city in germany but munich though. (plus it is entirely in german and I get lost very easily with all their high flalutin' terminology wink.gif .)
Does anyone know of a book binder that is local here that they have used and recommend?

Hmmmm. This is a little tricky. I can only think of speaking to a small copy shop or something like that. I have two suppliers who may be able to help you further with your search:

Braasch Document Services GmbH
Attn: Harr Braasch
Email: harry.braasch at braaschdc.de

Or

MSDD
Attn: Carolin Schneider
Tel: 089/41559811

They should be able to point you in the right direction

Maybe I´ll have a solution for your "book binding problem". I try to check it out and talk to you later, perhaps at Killian´s or PM you.
