Keeping a home DSL connection when moving house

How best to do this

Long story short: it looks like I will be moving out of my current place and would like to keep my DSL internet access. Complication: I currently get my DSL free apart from my bandwidth usage and that will stop at the same time as I move. I want the option of cancelling everything with a couple of months notice.

What do I need? Who do I need to speak to? Can I avoid Telekom altogether?

You saw the related topic from last year?

Swapping DSL and phone line when moving apartment - how to get it done quickly

Maybe some of the advice given there is still valid.

Ta. Man, it would be much easier if this site had a search function.
