No one snores... I've blown out my ears at too many concerts, just taking precautions for tomorrow's Flaming Lips show.
Thanks for the help, freaks!

Interestingly, in DM they are found next to the condoms.

A lot of people call them Ohropax - I assume it's a brand name

Ohropax are the bees-knees. A model for every occasion. Invented by Maximilian Negwer in Berlin in 1907, the brand name is a combination of the German word "Ohr" and Latin "pax", so "Peace for the ears"... Now manufactured in Wehrheim (Taunus) 30 employees in this small family-run firm churn out over 25 million of the darned things a year...Michael Negwer, the grandson of the founder, remains in charge but is reported to be a very quiet person (little surprise). From little acorns...

So what does "Tam" mean?

the inventor was called tamara? (I assume it was invented by a woman)
the inventor had funny little names for her different body parts?
ohropax is the waxy stuff, though. beware!

I got some yellow foam ear plugs, just like the picture in my first post. Hopefully they work well for tonight's show.
