This place is about 500m from the first apartment I had when I came to Munich, I wonder if I've ever been in it before? Don't remember it but then again I don't remember a lot of things! tongue.gif
coolerking
i will be there

Warn the waitress about dodgy banknotes, Ian! laugh.gif

I'll be there too!
sparty
Just suggested to combine my plans with this outing...

I'm lost! What dodgy banknotes? I know mine are not dodgy! I printed them personally!

Hi Sparty. Good Idea. Do you want to do a sort of pub crawl?
sparty
Yeah, that'll be good smile.gif
Wizadora
I'm up for it too, I'm a Friday night newbie so be kind!

Actually I haven't been to these Friday's as well, so not to worry tongue.gif
ian
Well I hope y'all like S&M then!
coolerking
i see you trying very hard to get more people to come along .
Katrina
S&M? Neuhausen? No, no, no, no, that's a respectable neighbourhood for respectable people. Obviously.

They sell sausage and Mash? Brilliant!
Carm
heading first to the see the VMonologues, but maybe will pop by afterwards.
Janx Spirit
I wish these meet ups weren't always so late. Living a bit outside of Munich means either hanging around for three or four hours or going home and then traveling back into Munich again.
Allershausen
Well I'll be there about 6:30, because of similar reasons.
Janx Spirit
Hmm, I am going to have to reorganise the odd Friday methinks. I suppose when the Biergarten season kicks off proper people arrive earlier. It's not worth me coming this evening because we have guests arriving at 7.30. I could turn my garden into a Biergarten, that would be the perfect solution wink.gif
Darkknight
Timing is also why the TT Fridays drinks night (Currently Intertwined with FBG-WM) usually starts at 17-1800..

In the winter indoor events there is usually a few who would come at around 6pm if they knew others would be there then. Post here if you want to start earlier!
But when the beergardens open, well thats a different matter! Most like to come at 6 or even 5. and some, (you know who you are!) even earlier!
By the way the weather is going, hopefully that is not too far off.

Hello Stoats and Minkies

Have you been to Stoa? Our Friday beergarden research department has been working overtime and come up with Stoa! We've got tables there this Friday from 7pm. Its in Gollierstr. 38 in Westend! Everyone is welcome to come along. No booking required.

They do a huge choice of food.
They do a huge range of cocktails. Not that we'll be ordering any of them! ...Or will we?

Q. What does STOA stand for? (oh no! not again!!)
a) STate-Of-the-Art
b) Sunbeam Tiger Owner's Association
c) Sit Tight On Arse
d) Short Term Oven Aging (what?? hello!)

Great, somewhere I've never been to. I'll be there a bit later this week, although not much later!
ian
I might even make it to the slackers beergarden beforehand.

See other thread: Slackers: Augustiner
CitizenSmith
Looks like you are continuing the trend of places with miss-spelt names.

I think I'll pop down to see Showem on the way too, The BG will be cool by about 6 so I'll probably be early (at OATS).
ruapehu
Oh, I have been there...it's practically within spitting distance of my new flat - very popular the night we were there, friendly waitresses, I seem to remember the food was quite good for pub fare...and there's a non-smoking section..

I have a dinner tomorrow (if by then I have rid myself of the migraine I've had today), but depending on when that's finished I may stumble in on my way home..
madgibson
According to my friend, who also lives nearby, there's a big sign up outside announcing that it's now completely non-smoking smile.gif
ian
Hooray!
ian
If you are in the beergarden, when it cools down in the evening, come along to the Stoa Bar if you want to continue drinking beer! Or eat. Or cocktails! But for cocktails you can also join the Negroni group.
CitizenSmith
Beer gardeners,

Since the beergarden weather has gone south for the rest of the week we have decided on a themed restaurant, for those of you not familiar with Spektakel follow the link.
I booked a table for 7pm down the back under one of the roofs.

Spektakel,
Pfeuferstraße 32
Google Maps

It’s a short walk from Harras U6, or you can take the 131, 132 or 134 bus to Herzog-Ernst-Platz or the 53 bus to Sendlinger Kirche

Question of the week:
What invention is widely considered to have benefited mankind the mode?
ian
Er.. Computers!...No.. Internet.. Gods own Microsoft Windows or something.
Silicon chips?.. Silicon breast implants? Now we are getting there!
Kums
sounds like a good time - im in, maybe two other dudes as well
Kat
I've wanted to try that place out since I first heard of it. I'm in! biggrin.gif
ian
Great, the more the merrier. Safety in numbers for when the storm starts!

See TT link to Spektakel to find out about the storm.
ThePosterWithNoName
To answer the question:

the invention which has most benefited mankind must surely be the TV remote control.
ian
Kind of pointless if they hadn't invented the telly!

Hello Loungers and Loungettes

Haidhausens Leo's Lounge is the scene of this Fridays wee drinky-poohs.
We've tables from 19:00 booked in the name "Humphrey Bogart"! All are welcome to join us for some fun.

I didnt find a useful web page of theirs. If anyone has a link, please post it here. But we've been many times and the drinks and food are good.
(However, it is not too far from some curry establishments!)

Moderators, Sieze that dog!

(But look at his cute little eyes!)
Allershausen
Skateboarding dogs! That's the sort of thing you usually see after the Friday evening, not before!
CitizenSmith
Couldn't you get a straight Jack Russell, that one was obviously gay judging by his out fits.
ian
He needed a warm jacket on cos he was feeling a little husky.
CitizenSmith
Husky, I'd try a gargle, don't think a pink jacket would help much
I thought dogs came with coats
ian
Its an "almost time for beergarden" season today. But even for us beergardeners, 15 degrees is not quite there yet.
Maybe next week?
Allershausen
I'm rapidly approaching the, "I can't be arsed to do any more work and think I'll go and sit in a beergarden till the Friday pub thing starts" time of the day. Only 15°C, hah! Positively balmy. smile.gif
Kat
Me too. Let's go. cool.gif I'll meet you there in an hour.
Kums
I'll see u guys there a bit later - look foward to it
Kat
Um. Does Leo's have an outdoor bit? If not, there's the Hofbraukeller nearby...warm enough, you think?
