Well my age varies depending on the age of the women I'm talking to! ph34r.gif
Purple Muffin
Well you all know I am 21 tongue.gif
Gen
I'm in too!
Katrina
The Ysenegger? NO. Go near some other bastard's house, please for the love of God!
wink.gif
Personally, I won't be there but please be considerate when leaving the Ysenegger. The residents in that area are very respectable *cough* and will have no hesitation in setting the attack dogs or Police on you, should my their sleep be disrupted.
The big signs asking for quiet are there for good reason.
Allershausen
It's Friday night, you they should be out galavanting and generally joining in the fun!
Katrina
Er no, it is a very quiet residential area and I'm at my best friend's birthday bash, one must have priorities.
But my snipers have a perfect view of the garden and front windows!

Anyway, have the Käsespätzle or the burgers.

And please keep the noise down when you leave! I have seen arrests take place for disturbance plus several noise restriction notices there and it wasn't me that phoned it in, either. I like the Ysenegger - please people, show consideration to the residents when you leave, noise could get this place closed down and that Käsespätzle really is too good to let that happen.
Allershausen
OK, Mum! smile.gif
ruapehu
ooh, I was at the opening party for this place (which I THINK was by invitation only; I was a regular in the Scheidegger, which used to be run by the same people...isn't anymore...if anyone is interested in that rather long story, I may tell when drunk - which of course never happens cool.gif )...not that I'm attending (comments from the sidelines?) as I'm going to a concert...

But DO remember to pop into the Afghan place on the way.. biggrin.gif
sarabyrd
If Purple Muffin is gonna be there so will I, and Scogs will tag along. But not till after 8pm, we gotta ride in from the stix.
Gen
yay!

I will, God, first Sarabyrd, then Katrina, now you, I'm being henpecked over the interwebbey! tongue.gif

In my branch of business any boss with three assistants reminding him of his appointments is considered A#1 and top of the list.*
*Thank you, Franky-Boy.
Jeeves
Ooh Katrina said the word that rhymes with Päsespätzle. Afghans stand no chance. Even on the assumption that they are restaurants.

I will take that as a compliment then, I think! smile.gif
ThePosterWithNoName
Oh well, as it looks like there's nothing better to do tonight I suppose I'll come along ... but I won't be one of the early ones.
Allershausen
I've posted a few pictures in the gallery
Jeeves
Brilliantly organised, Mr Hausen. You'll have to do it again.
When I came to pay (last again) there was less on the tab than I'd actually consumed. Can you fix that again too please?
sarabyrd
Thank you for organizing, Mr. A. It was nice to see a different crowd for a change, and the newbies were eager and talkative. Welcome, Henri and thetagirl (we gotta do something about that name!). The strawberry caipi wasn't much to write home about, the Kasspatzln edible but not really spectacular except for the fact that the onion bits were mixed in with the Spatzln in addition to the deep-fried onion rings on top.
CitizenSmith
From Ian and Gwyn, (oops Ian and CitizenSmith)(I don't want to break any TT code by revealing real names.)

Tomorrows Quaffing Venue is an old favourite,

Stadtgespräch im Regensburger Hof, from 19:00 onward.

Stadtgespräch are well known for their enormous Scnhizel for about €6 and just over €2 for Weissbier. Located on:

Augustenstr. 53,
80333 München
Maxvorstadt,
Entry round the corner on Gabelsbergerstraße.

Kneipen-Suche

Then for map click on Wegbeschreibung button.
Or use this map

U1 stiglmaierplatz or U2 Theresienstrasse.

(Be there or be square, apparently)
Tiggi
It's funny, whenever I read "be there or be square", it immediately puts me off attending!
CitizenSmith
Well allershausen used it last week to good effect so I felt it had to go in, although it did grate like chalk on a black board, the apparently at the end took the edge off a little.
ruapehu
ma be able to attend tomorrow myself..lots of loevely stories to tell!
Tiggi
@CS, I know, people do it all the time. It just has a bad effect on me! But at least you tried to tone it down. wink.gif

Having heard how good this was last week, I'd come despite the wording if I wasn't already busy! Will try to make it another time.

It's the way I tell 'em! tongue.gif

Basically, we turned up last Friday to see if you could indeed organize a piss-up etc. Good job, I am looking forward to Lemar.

A Scnhizel is like a Wiener Schnitzel only bigger!

"Be there, or be square" sounds like an expression our parents used for their parties way back when! That is probably why it hits a nerve!

I did actually go to a party where the invite said "Be there, or be... a cunt!" (But that was from the same bunch famous for the smutty version of the 2 nuns in a bath joke! You don't want to hear that! Honestly, you don't!)
Captain Ridiculous!
I hate squares man!
ian
But they are extremely thin.
Captain Ridiculous!
What are?

Squares?
ian
No. The Scnizzels at Stadtgespäch are thin. The mad chef makes loud hammering sounds out the back when you order one. I guess he is tenderising the meat. Anyway they are thiiiiiin!
Uncle Nick

The mad chef makes loud hammering sounds...

Not the one from Monty Pythons "Dirty fork sketch"?
ian
There was a lot of blood and meat cleavers in that sketch if I rememeber. (see below)
But I'm trying to remember the name of the show that had a mad Scottish chef who nobody could understand. And who was mad!

sarabyrd
Haggis Junior and I have been rehearsing that sketch for the last three months, she is a scream as the manager. And now she has to drop out of English Drama because the director wants her to take a week off school - FFS, her final exams are looming, she can't just miss a week of school. There was light at the end of the tunnel, and now this! ... Now ... this!

I'll try to come along.

I seem to be shaking off a nasty 24-hour dose of influenza blokus* (also known as grippus wimpus).

But heck, my reckoning is if I'm well enough to "work" I'm well enough to drink.

Anyway, if I do turn up please be gentle.

Oh, and I'm sure a curry would make me feel better. Think Deeba is near there.

*Bloke flu is worse than bird girl flu as generally it leaves us unable to do anything except lie on the sofa and watch TV. Oh and maybe have sex.
ian
The Maharani is much nearer (Rottmannstr) And their CTM is unbeatable!

However, the bad news is that the Maharani has been sold!! There is no guarantee that the cook will stay, or even that it will remain an Indian restaurant!

I dont know how much longer we have to enjoy one of the first and best Indian restaurants in Munich!
ThePosterWithNoName
Incidentally, Maharani is outstanding when it comes to Cognac.
Tiggi
Hmm, maybe we should have a curry night there soon if its days are numbered?
MadAxeMurderer
Everything in the Maharani is unbeatable, expecially the onion bhajis.

Ian don't make bad jokes like that. Its not April fool's day, and my system cannot take the shock.

I have no idea of when it will close though.

We discussed this last week: Having sex is the cure for a migraine headache. It lowers the pressure of blood to your brain. (Tip brought to you by my cardiologist friend)

I'd agree with you 100% on that and it gets my curry vote too.
The Deeba is of couse Pakistani and has been there for as long as the Maharani, and is concidered by many to be in the same class as the Maharani too. I would like to point out at this stage that the Maharani is in a class all of its own and except for the Deeba no other Indian is even close to matching it on food quality and consistancy, to my knowledge they have had consistently good food for 17years. (I havn't been to deeba often enough to judge them)

Oh yes, I forgot. Unfortunately hardly any blood ever gets to my hippocampsite hippocamptea hippothingy ... i.e. the bit of my brain involved with memory.

Now, although sex is a cure for migraine bitchus migraine in women I'm not sure it's that effective for influenza blokus. However, I am willing to undergo medical research in this area. rolleyes.gif

MadAxeMurderer
I've once had a bad meal at the Maharani, and that's once in probably over 50 visits. And that bad meal was when Billy was away on holiday.

Its a bit hard to plan a curry night there. Like the Deeba, it really can't handle more than 10 people.
Tiggi
Splinter group! ph34r.gif

@Tiggi
You beat me to it - was just about to suggest the same thing tongue.gif

Sorry my chopper weilding chum! I think its true! Ask Baljit when you next see him!
We could kidnap the chef, who, I am told, might be moving to a new restaurant in the sticks!
sarabyrd
*To Lohhof, please,please,please,please!*
MadAxeMurderer
I'm not sure who Baljit is but we definetly need to know which curry house the chef is off to. Not coming tonight, away for the weekend.

Splinter!!! Ian, CitizenSmith and I have been having curries in the Maharani over both centuries. Any curry activities are basically copy cats of us, and we've been very decent about not demanding royalties.
ian
Sorry, Baljit is Billy Singh. Who is off to seek his fortune. Leaving us in a sticky position.
The chef is heading in the direction of Weilheim I think.
There have been many serious curry fans and groups of fans going to the Maharani for a very long time. Everyone is a splinter!
