Note to Curry Fanciers: There is a Tandoori stand in the Schrannenhalle. Last time I had a respectable Indian meal! See Tandoori
Basically you can eat what type of food you want!

This week Ian and I have booked a table for 16 in the name “Mr Bogart� at Café PUCK, Türkenstr. 33. 7pm

If you've not been there its not far from the Ubahn and quite near the Deeba.

They have a happy hour till 8pm.

CS is quite right, it is near Deeba.

And it's also near to Sarovar.

So, basically Friday beers will take place near some fine curry houses ...

I think it would be a pity to miss the opportunity.

What's the crowd like...mixed ages?
Is it just drinks or is the menu there good.

Yes. There is a complete mix of people. Generally from 20 to 50! It varies each week. Anyone who likes a bit of fun is welcome.

I dont remember what the food was like. In fact I dont remember being there before! But CitizenSmith assures me I have. It must have been a good night!
As a backup, if we dont like the food, some would go on afterwards for a curry! In this case the nearby Deeba is highly recommended!
But anyone can do as they please.

its okay, nothing special, but I don't remember it being bad either. I know that is not very helpful. Its been awhile since I've been.

@Foodies out there. Cafe Puck's food is generally good, their brunch is rather good, but nowhere as good as the curry houses near there.

I'm hoping at least a few will be interested.

Carm didn't say she is working late, she said she's got a work thing. Interpret that as you will.
After a couple of drinks the "food thing" becomes less of an qualitative issue, more of a quantitative one.

to clear up, and miscommunications of my private life- I have a work 'thing' tonight, then tomorrow is my saturday to work... so, in a sense its both. Since I work at 8am, don't want to go in with a hangover.

This Friday the beers (and cocktails) will be flowing at the Drei Groschen Keller from 7pm
In Lilienstr. 2, Behind/under the Museum Lichstspiele Cinema in Haidhausen.

It is a very unusual and uniquely decorated bar in the cellar where they serve the famous Isar Plopp beer!!

Think most of TT are heading to Roosevelt's for the Lehel night out... but, they are not too far away, so you never know.

There are plenty that prefer beer to cocktails. Roosvelts only has Pils beer you see.

However, you are right that we are not too far away. Any who want to start at Roosvelts for a cocktail and go on for beer after, down the Drei Groschen Keller are quite welcome to join us. We'll be there til quite late.

well, 26 have so far signed up for the TT Lehel night on friday, just wanted to warn that alot of people are else where. Heck it isn't a competition, but I prefer cocktails to beer, so... to each is own.

I'm down to go to the cocktail event (as long as I can get heterosexual cocktails) but I could be lured to the Friday drinks after a bit, considering they're both in the hood.

And curry is one of the most effective luring agents known to expats.

Yes. As kind of expected, there was a late night "curry-on". We went to the GOA on Thierschstrasse 8, right by Isartor. A very good CTM! Made English spicy too. But they did not want to do an Ultra spicy Vindaloo. They said they wanted to do it well and not make a volcanoe out of it. They also spent time with us after to see what we thought. I shall be going back there. We were the last to leave.

As usual, the next morining I thought to myself "What a night! But I'm glad I didn't go on for that late curry!" before remembering that I surely had!

This Friday (16th) there are a bunch of us going to the famous Wassermann, Elvirastr. 19 in Neuhausen From 19:00 til whenever. Come along if you feel like a few beers or cocktails and a good laugh! No need to register beforehand.
Be careful, there are now 3 Wassermanses in Munich!

By the power invested in me by our intrepid leaders Ian and Gwyn, who have gone swanning off somewhere for the week and left me holding the baby, I have made an executive decision after consultation with the relative experts and this week we will be going to The Ysenegger in Ysenburgstr. 3 right by Rotkreuzplatz from 19:00 on Friday.

The table is booked under the name Allershausen.

I’m reliable informed that there are curry houses around should any of you get the late night munchies.
