Just checked the cocktail list and there's one called "Blythe's blood" - seems very appropriate for Pirate Day! Anyone heading over there any time soon?

No FBG this week?
*** Oktoberfest aficionados please stop reading here ***
Yes, I know it's O'fest, but a little drinkie in a normal environment would be nice for those of us who fail to see the attraction of sitting crammed in a beer tent with thousands of other sweaty bodies, swilling beer for hours, having one's ears blasted by crap music, and witnessing the greed for profit make a mockery of tradition.
Am I the only sane person around here?

Since we were there last they have started selling Air Guitars, no really, honest, not as good as the real thing as played by Ian though.
A good one does make a difference you know!

Excellent choice! Always a great atmosphere there.
I'd bring my own air guitar, but I broke the G string on it, and I don't have a replacement. So I won't be able to play "Air on a G string".

Slim chance I will be there....
After 8pm though....
We shan't move on to any other place. People usually turn up over the space of a few hours. Some might go off for a curry though. And as things start to wind up there, others will go off in search of a last beer in a late bar. Just one more little tiny beer to wash down all that Tequila.

Sorry to be jumping the gun, but I'm trying to plan ahead, and wondering whether the Friday BG will be a Thursday BG this week, seeing as how the Friday is a holiday. Or will there be both a Thursday and a Friday BG? Or neither, if everyone is totally wrecked from the O'fest?

If it's in Nymphenburg/Neuhausen we can watch "
Burn After Reading" after our weekly alky intake.

Hello All,
This week I've booked the
Wassermann in Neuhausen, they do have great cocktails and food, plus there are lots of
curry houses in the area for those who like to
"Burn After Eating". . . sorry about the link, no one has a website dedicated to him yet.
They have a happy hour too:
Daily 17:00 - 20:00 and 22:30 - 00:30 Uhr
Alle Cocktails 5,50 EUR
XXL Cocktails 7,50 EUR
Cocktails of the day 4,90 EUR
XXL 6,90 EUR
This Wassermann is on Elvirastr. 19, nearest Ubahn is U1 Maillingerstr. You can also goto Donnersbergerbrücker or HackerBrücker on the Sbahn, it's about the same distance from both. There is no 54 bus connection!
Oh! and I should have booked the places in the name of
Leonard Cohen, well at least I would have, but sadly I didn't, I booked it in the name of Gwyn Evans instead. . Don't ask.
As usual all are welcome, newbies too.
If you can't find us call me on 0173 3510658

Seeing as the O'fest is still going on until the 5th, it would be a good idea to avoid the rowdy, druken, unwashed mob of O'fest vistiors at Donnersburger/Hacker Brucke.. Best to take the U1 Maillingerstr.
For what it's worth, I'm thinking of attending

Hello my crunchy munchies!
On
Friday we have reserved the high tables and standing area by the bar at
Zoozie'z from
7pm. Wittelsbacherstraße 15. Baldeplatz.
They play great music there. I've been told I dun air guitar there once. But I don't believe them. The cocktails and food are good too!
Everyone is welcome to join in the party. We'll be easy to find as we'll be all along the bar on the left as you go in. I booked in the name Benny Hill for some reason.

A grand choice of venue I must say. The decor alone is worth the visit, it's not every bar that has a DJ in a pulpit!

There is no list for the Friday Beer Garden, you just turn up and say hello, and we usually say hello back!
Dont listen to Allers! (Allers? who the f*ck is Allers?) We bend over backwards to welcome new people. It usually scares them away, but we have a laugh about it. Well it is better than the "Baldrick in a dress" sketch:
Percy: Oh Edmund, I … [sees Baldrick: to Baldrick] Hello there. [to Blackadder]Edmund, you didn’t tell me we had a guest. And such a pretty one, too. [to Baldrick] Well, you’re a little cutie to be hiding yourself away all these years. What is your name?
Blackadder: He’s called Baldrick.
Percy: [with a lilt] Ball-drick. Edmund used to have a servant called Baldrick. But anyway - away with such small talk. Lady – a kiss.
Baldrick: What?
Percy: And so modest too. Come on you little tease, you know you want to: give us a kiss.
Baldrick: Alright, if you say so. [grabs Percy on the sides of the head with both hands; kisses Percy on the lips for about 10 seconds, then lets go]
Percy: [gagging] Oh dear; what an original perfume.
Blackadder: That is our Baldrick: he’s wearing a dress.
Percy: Ugh!
