Same explanation for the saying " pissed as a handcart " actually.

That made me laugh - but hey, it sounds like a very logical explanation.

Anyone care to explain the "pissed as a fart" one?
That's easy - lots of old farts go to FBG to get pissed.
Well, if you are pissed as a fart, it means that you are shit faced! Easy! Like being rat arsed! It's all quite logical you see.

Oh ja! apart from the cycling problem on the way back was lovely meeting new faces yesterday and catching up with old ones! Thanks guys for organising! BTW I think that we must have been about 40!
It seems to be about 40 these days. Next time we'll try to get a place with the standing tables again so we could all mingle and get to meet al the new faces. This is important. Especially to welcome any new people.
Ok-ely dok-ely
This
Friday we'll be at
Zoozies from
7pm We've got the "podest" area on the left as you go in the front door. What is a podest? Dunno. But in Zoozies it is the raised area of tables past the bar.
Zoozies is at Baldeplatz near the River.
Cocktails, beer, blah, blah, blah!
I've booked this time in the name of the god lovin', irritatin' Simpsons neighbour
Ned Flanders! (
Son-of-a-diddly!)
So if you've never been along on a Friday and you cant find us, ask for our tables or call/sms me.

I think I have the plague, so I probably won't turn up.
If I do, though, everyone can use me as a "How will I recognise you?" point. I'm guessing there won't be a lot of women with red hair and enormous swollen glands.

May 1 2008, 10:37 pm
No catch, just an altruistic gesture based upon lots of ladies telling me at FBG that they want a creme egg, not saying i'm bringing hundreds along just 1/2 a dozen or a dozen maybe.
I'm highly likely to pop along tonight as I was going to Vienna but I'll set off bright and early in the morning instead.
Seems I'm the wrong sex for the creme eggs.

By the way the bus is a great way to get to Baldeplatz, the 58 goes from the

Another excellent bus route, which CitizenSmith didn't mention, is the 152 which connects with the U-Bahn stations
Implerstrasse,
Sendlinger Tor, and
Ostbahnhof over in Dragon County. The stop to get off is "Kapuzinerstrasse", then walk along Kapuzinerstr., past the cemetery and on for another couple of blocks - about 5 mins walk.
Enough of the bus routes already!

No, seriously, the 152 is a good option for us Dragonland dwellers east of the river. It's only a 20-minute bus ride from
Ostbahnhof, without having to change anywhere.

I'm jealous because I'm not going to get a cream egg!
I'm jealous because I'm not going to be there!
And although the bus is a very much underestimated form of transport by those of the non-granny pursuasion, I'm not jealous when comparing waiting for a bus to biking in the rain.
I did get thrown off the 77 bus once <true> cos my bike fell over when the bus went round a corner. I was a
fool!

Got a Cream Egg even though I did not make it to the event! Thx BD!!! Love you!!!
I'm getting all in the mood for beergardens again!
This week we're in the
Biergarten im Bavariapark from
18:00 meeting outside in the area of the
long tables near the serving Schänke counter thingy.
This place is great as it's
5 mins walk from the
U-Bahn U4/5 Schwanthalerhöhe which is only
2 mins from the
Hauptbahnhof. Hooray!
Outside: Look out for the famous
orange flag at our
long tables. (Not the type of table in the picture below) But if you cant find us, call or SMS me.
Inside: We have also reserved the standing tables inside for later should it turn cool. They are by the bar in what is called the
Schwemme. Which, translated means watering place, public bar or glut! See the picture of the "barrel tables" below. I booked in the name of
Principal Seymour Skinner. I don't know why!

I cut n pasted that from the

Incidentally, I went there yesterday and it looks a really nice place. A first for the Firday beergarden. They serve both
