I have my bag o' dirt, and I'm preparing a whole rant on how rude people are when they see a small woman barely visible behind a giant bag o' dirt and won't get out of her way.
Even if they hadn't seen me, you'd think they'd have the common decency to step out of the way of a gigantic bag of perambulatory compost.
I'll need a beer after this...
Thats what Friday beergardens are all about!
Breath deeply. Relax. Think of something nice.

I just wanted to say that I thought this place was great, the waitresses were fantastic, they were constantly coming around and actively searching out people who needed their glass refilling, non of this desperately trying to attract their attention that we get in a lot of places. Ok, so they didn't look like the girls in the football poster but they were pleasant and efficient. We should definitely return there in the near future I feel.
I noticed that they were also speaking English to some people. I think that the waitresses enjoyed themselves too. Cool! I agree. We'll be back!

Not that I want to weigh in too much on the subject (since I haven't been going to the Friday Beer Garden for a few weeks now) - but wasn't it in Haidenhausen last week, and the week before? Bring it back to Schwabing! (can you tell I live there?)

I will be joining you lot tomorrow and have to say I quite like the idea of Wasserwerk in
Haidhausen...
Besides, Aussie / Kiwi places pretty much limit us to Ned Kelly's or
Outland and both - especially Ned's - are packed on Friday nights.

It does make sense to make sure all areas of town are covered, I haven't been to many Friday night meet ups so I hadn't noticed this but I agree.
Schwabing also sounds good to me, I just wanted to make sure we wouldn't end up in over crowded bars.
So anybody has any suggestions for Schwabing? How about the Wassermann?

We were in Schwabing 2 weeks ago at

I have the next two weeks booked up already, but agree it should move around, but then again, anybody who complains can take on the task of organizing and looking for a venue and calling and booking and actually turning up to the event.
I personally think its great that Ian and Gywn do this every week.

After calling .Egger, Scheidegger,
Zoozies &
Schwabinger Wassermann, who were
all full, I booked 35 places at:
Rolandseck, Viktoriastr. 23 in Schwabing right near
Bonner platz U-bahn.
We'll be there from
7pm or earlier (does that make sense?)
Everyone welcome to join in the fun. Newbies and TTies and all!
I booked in the name of the "worlds cleverest man"
Stephen Hawkins! Inventor of the black hole and TV wheelchair funny man.
When I called up I wanted to use my PC to do the electronic voice. But I couldn't type fast enough! So I had to do the tinny 80's technology voice manually. By talking like an american robot. I think the lady who took the booking thought I was a little strange. Maybe she does not watch TV? Or maybe his voice is dubbed in Germany?

Ahh, true story here, back in the day, we sent a Scorpion(light tank) Troop to Belize as part of the Belize Defence Force (the Guats were making noises on the border) I never got there as I was just back from a year in NI and needed a break from running around like a daft bugger.
Anyways, they had a parrot, a big parrot so I was told. Now the guys used to drink some god awful green rum and to make it palatable, they mixed it with condensed milk

, all true (I tasted some that someone brought back, Yeeeccchhh) The parrot who had an ID card and the rank of corporal liked a tipple or two to the effect he was always drunk and disorderly. Schreeching bloody blue murder all night. So they had to lock him up in the guard room in a cell, where it was dark and he would fall into a drunken coma. He was bust to Trooper many times never stopped him drinking though.
So drunk as a parrot is quite correct.

Cos farts don't travel in straight lines and are liable to go in any direction, much like a drunk trying to walk.
