People will want to go on to some other bar(s) after the Scheidegger tonight. Any recommendations in the area? Obviously without giving away any of your
secret favourite places that we would surely

even if you dont think its as good as the build up (wow, this has so many innuendos...) it doesnt matter, because my grandma knitted it for me several christmases ago and i love it (ok, i think that successfully killed any insinuation...).

Dear Beer-Gardeners and Beer-Gardenees
After a cracking Friday last week, we hope to continue the trend at:
The Fraunhofer
Fraunhoferstr. 9
80469 München
We haven’t been there for ages, it’s a great autumn venue.
I booked a largish table in the name of “Friday Beer Garden for 7pm
Take the U1/2 to Frauenhoferstraße.
Here’s a link, it’s under the label “E
http://local.google.com/maps?f=q&hl=en&q=m...99&om=1&iwloc=EThis weeks smutty question: (so look away now if you get easily embarrassed)
Name as many Breasts as possible, but Breasts with no nipples.
Lost? I’ll give you an example. “Brest of a hill. Usually no nipples there. That’s One How many others can we come up with?
All the best,
Gwyn
Gwyn. Me and Toytown have been talking. And we decided to let you do this whole "breast" thing on your own! Just tell us when you're finished.

Very little tops "making the beast with two backs". Or to use the full quote: "I am one, sir, that comes to tell you your daughter and the Moor are now making the beast with two backs."

You should have booked the Knocker-berg!
Hi water babies (
whats he going on about now?)
Returning to the Schwabing district again we'll be at the
Schwabinger Wassermann in Herzogstrasse 82 from
19:00 this Friday.
(Also announced on the Friday chill drinks. Its the same place! Same time if you like.)
Another stonking great table is waiting for us. Our recent average is about
16 people on a Friday. Which is nice and gemütlich. The food is very good apparently.
Wassermann is the German name for which UK star sign? And what will Fridays horoscope say? Its on the internet now you know? I wonder how many of you regularly read it.

Unionsbraeu from
19:00. Its in
Einsteinstr. 42. Thats in
Haidhausen!
And booked in my name Mister Phillips! (
not down in the cellar this time) Everyone is welcome to come along.
Did you know the people who run the Unionsbraeu also run the Loewenbrau tent at the Oktoberfest?
Intellectual question of the week!
Q: Why did Albert Einstein cross the street?
A: To get away from Niels Bohr. But when he got to the other side Bohr was there also.
(I'm laughing very loudly so people think I understand it!)

I'd hoped the forum would automatically link to it. But I guess it didn't do it cos I spelt Unionsbraeu without umlauts. My PC at home doesn't have umlauts.
will the Beergarten group, join up with the Fridays drinks, or will there always be two threads? (not accusing or anything, just curious).

Maybe we can tidy it up a bit.

The Friday beergarden doesn't do signing up!
I'm booking a big table again and the Bavaria Braeu is a big place so come along even if you havn't signed up to the
TT Friday Drinks page. But feel free to do so.

Nov 9 2006, 10:15 am
good point, but i also don't think an event needs to be pushed with a sign up sheet and thread bumping all the time. people know it's there and can go if they wish.
Carm
Nov 9 2006, 10:56 am
that is true mere, but there is nothing worse than organizing an event, not know who is coming or how many, and sitting there alone at a big tabel waiting for others to attend.

Nov 9 2006, 11:04 am
I organized one of the TTFriday drinks in May, and I sat there at a huge table for about 1.5 hours alone, til someone else showed up. At least with a sign up you can see what time people plan to attend, if they give out that info.
mere
Nov 9 2006, 11:56 am
well, yes i see your point and agree. i'm not saying you don't HAVE to have a sign-up, but to feel the need to always push your event i find foolish.
edit- Ian this isn't meant at you, but a comment in general
Carm
Nov 9 2006, 12:14 pm
I agree with that too mere, but on TT there are so many events going, you just want to know that you are not going to be alone at the one you organized.
I think signing up works well for some events. Especially one offs. And also where you are booking an entire restaurant.
The Friday beergarden is a rolling event where you know it will be there every week without fail. We build up numbers that way. And in a place that we can grab a few extra tables if needed. The
Bavaria Bräu is a prime example.
You just need to know the location and that is it. People come spontaneously(!!). The location is also distributed to a large email list via Yahoo. Many arrange to meet friends there so they know the'll know somebody, and some take pot luck and come along to meet new faces.
Anyway, stop all this bumping!

I should be there sometime between 1715-1800..
Look for the TTF Table Card
ian

One downside of not having a sign up sheet is you cant easily see how many people will come along or generally come along to the event. Although usually more people come along than actually sign up!
Last night I counted at least 21 people. Up from the previous week which was probably affected bt the school holiday week but also up from the general trend of about 16.
Thanks to all who came and the synergy effect of TT Friday drinks!

The week has swept past fast this time, and I imagine it will go past faster still as we approach Christmas, in most cases being spat out the other side a little dazed, with just the hint of a hangover, ready to start the new-year and head into the skiing season . . . in our choice of venue this week we combine the bustle of the Christmas shoppers (sitting there with the warm glow of someone who has just found the perfect pair of woolly gloves for Granny.) and the cosy atmosphere where we can watch the snow falling, through the window.
To get to the point: Join us tomorrows at 7pm,
Weisses Brauhaus, Tal 7 upstairs.
http://www.weisses-brauhaus.deLook for usual crowd, the table is booked in the name Evans usually translated to Events.
See you there,
