Great beer, great night!

Yes, despite the Starkbier not being served in a cocktail glass, it was a fun night! Hope everyone managed to safeguard their beermats in order to avoid verbal abuse from the waitress from hell tongue.gif Seems Dooblie was the only one who could charm her with his winning smile biggrin.gif

Yes, it was another stonking good night because we had a good lot of people who were all out for a good time. Keep it up!

Greetings puny earthlings!

This Friday I've reserved the whole front bar area at Bobolowski in Schwabing from 7pm (We're on the right as you go in)

Sorry about the puny earlings bit. But I am Lrrr! this week. Lrrr is from Futurama. (Omicron Persi 8) How sad. I know. And I made the costume myself too!
No, I booked the bar in the name of Lrrr. The man had trouble spelling it. But we got there in the end.

Bobolowski has good Tex Mex type food and cocktails. Such as Caipis! Which is the plural of Caipi. I had to stick an 's' on the end making it Caipis. Don't order Cai-piss! Say Caiparinhas if nescessary, rather than make an embarrasing fool of yourself.

Everyone welcome. Newbies too. Call or SMS me if you don't know anyone there or ask at the bar for Lrrr!

Anyone for the 6pm start tomorrow? I can be twisted!
Allershausen
I should be there about 6. Got to go back to Thai restaurant and Ryans first to see if they found my keys last night.
helena
I'll be there at 6.30ish looking for big green monsters with juicy cocktails! rolleyes.gif

Can someone tell me if I did air guitar again? Things all went fuzzy after a while.
And as for getting home...?

G’day Thursday Beergardeners,

This weekend is Easter, so we have decided to hold the regular Friday BeerGarden on a Thursday to celebrate.
We’ve booked the whole bar area to the left of the door at OutLand. Rick has generously offered us an extra happy hour from 7:30 to 8:30 for ladies and gents who dress as ladies.

I booked the tables under the name “Dame Edna Everage, what else?

Kick off 7pm although as usual quite a few will start earlier.

gents who dress as ladies

An Easter tradition in Wales?
ian
It is if you want to get a cocktail cheap!
and if you cant get a ladies dress and a wig, you can also try dressing up as a Mozart or a Pope or something else like that.

It works for me!
sea-king
I´ll be there as per usual! blink.gif
Allershausen
This is an Aussie bar isn't it, don't we have to wear a dirty vest, baggy shorts and one of them hats with corks hanging down from the brim?
CitizenSmith
You got the hang of it Allers. you CAN dress as an Aussie Lady too if you like.
Jeeves
I will not laugh at that. I will not laugh at that.
Oh what the heck laugh.gif

I though he was describing an aussie lady!
helena
Oooh the thought of Allers with lipstick on, in a dirty sleeveless shirt with one of those hats with corks and baggy shorts - what can I say? laugh.gif
Allershausen
Admit it, you just can't resist!

CitizenSmith
Was that clip from . . . Shielas Wheels. "For ladies who enjoy their cars".
I was thinking more of "The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert"
helena
Now THIS thread is getting interesting!!!

It sort of is, as for the other I don't have enough hair for that!
helena
That MUST be you Allers in the fishnets, no?
GreenTea
Oooh, this looks like being one HOT night! Well, looks like we got the guys' costumes sorted out, but what are the ladies expected to wear? unsure.gif

Sergeant major: You h'is a pooftah! What h'is you?
Gunner 'Gloria' Beaumont: A pooftah sergeant major!

Hmmm ... dunno if they'd let me in there topless? unsure.gif
helena
No GT, we get to wear those striking, lovely dark green vests... laugh.gif
CitizenSmith
Here are a couple of ideas for you:
GreenTea
Well, the one on the left is what I've been aspiring to for the past 30-odd years, but sadly I seem to be progressing slowly towards a resemblance of the lady on the right. Still some way to go, though.

Helena: I assume the dark green of those vests is meant to be camouflage? But I think that colour won't work in the Outland? Not to worry, I have lots of other colours in my wardrobe!
Allershausen
Isn't the green to celebrate the fact that it is "Green Thursday" today? Does anywhere else in the world call the day before Good Friday, Green Thursday? unsure.gif
SpiderPig
You should have booked under the name "Dame Edna Beverage" !!! laugh.gif
helena
I'll come along if the boys wear dresses... wink.gif
Allershausen
I always wear a dress, it's just a very short one and I wear it under my jeans. ph34r.gif

An Easter tradition in Wales?

i thought that was actualy a St.David's day tradition, men dressing in women's national dress.
bluedave
Just make sure that when you pay your bill that you have witnesses . . . ph34r.gif
helena
Yes Larry...my dear...time to get out your best wool dress :-)

Jeeves
OG, why do I actually believe that?
leisure suit larry
Aaargh! No! Please, not THAT dress! I thought we were over that! wink.gif
helena
What time are we starting anyway...7pm?
madgibson
Says 19.00 in the title but I'm sure the early birds will be there before...or maybe Allershausen is still deciding which dress he should wear?! Might swing by on the way home if I haven't faded in the meantime.
CitizenSmith
Right,
I'm going to have a cup of tea then I'm setting off.
Allershausen
Somewhere in Neuhausen? I think you're going to have to narrow it down a bit before Friday, otherwise Neuhausen will be full of drunken TTers staggering from bar to bar trying to find each other! biggrin.gif
Darkknight
So basically a typical Munich Friday wink.gif
ian
We're working on it as we speak. And the cross hairs have now moved to Haidhausen. But without booking confirmation of the Pub/bar/restaurant I dont want to get peoples juices flowing by naming the Escobar I mean the pub.
