Just checking the booking before I commit. But I think you're going to like it Dave.
ian
Hello you mink munchers!

We're back, oh yes! Its the Escobar - Breisacherstr. 19. Haidhausen. 7pm
And we've got the whole standing table area reserved in the name Uda Thunkit!

We love that place!

Anyway all happy people are welcome. First timers will find us by the bar on the tall stools by the tall tables.
If you want to celebrate the retirement of Fidel Castro, feel free to do so!

Oh, I will most likely be there! Its close to home and has great cocktails.
GreenTea
Oooh, Escobar again! Dunno if I can resist this one. Wonder if they'll let us in again though, after some of the goings-on at the last GNO... unsure.gif Still, this time those naughty girls will be chaperoned by some very well-behaved, respectable gentlemen who will keep things from getting out of hand ... I think?

Or as the evening wears on, possibly on the tables. Oops, no, must stop thinking about GNO...
helena
I will be there in spirit... wink.gif
bluedave
Looks good to me smile.gif
Kats
Have not been there for a while, so looking forward it. katja
belgianpraline
Let's celebrate the subprime crisis! wink.gif
ian
Whats a subprime crisis, says me to lazy to google!
ian
Crisis? What crisis?
OK. Just looked it up. It means the credit crunch!
Which sounds much more wheaty and whole grainy, and only 70 calories!
belgianpraline
Hey, change of subject. I've got the anagram except you seemed to have missed out on an E.

HUNK ATTITUD

Sounds good anyway!
CitizenSmith
What you mean: I'd Thank Tutu?
Stuff the subprime debacle!

What about poor old Simon the prosthetic parrot?
CitizenSmith
An update;
The parrot is in fact called George not Simon. He only has one claw and needs a prosthetic claw otherwise he falls off his perch when he sleeps. "Currently, whenever George dozes off, he loses his balance and falls off his perch, squawking "Bloody Hell!" in surprise."
CitizenSmith
More importantly again than Granite and Rocks , What do the following have in common?

I Was Tortured By the Pygmy Love Queen
Are Women Human? And Other International Dialogues
Cheese Problems Solved
If You Want Closure in Your Relationship, Start With Your Legs
People who Mattered in Southend and Beyond: From King Canute to Dr Feelgood

Larry the Lamb the Parrot fell off its perch a couple of times this week and is still recovering. Bloody hell! sad.gif

Will be with you in spirit! Have a great evening
GreenTea
Belgianpraline, if you're bringing your leopard along again, make sure you keep him/her on a leash this time! Once these big cats have tasted freedom, who knows what they'll get up to. Haidhausen should be warned! wink.gif

I have to apologize for my flight-like exit. I got really really irritated by the servers. They kept bumping past us and looking really annoyed and telling us to move. Well, someone, when setting up the place, shouldn´t have put bar stools on both sides of the serving corridor just a few hand-breadths apart if they wanted the waiters to be able to walk through there. Tell us to sit somewhere and then make us feel like totally unwanted annoyances when we try to enjoy our cocktails? No thank you.

Tobi apologizes to all the men he fled from or slunk past in fear. Don´t take it personally. He seriously is just afraid of humans with willies, it is not a reflection on your general lovability.

Hope things got better after I left!

Sadly, "Squid Recruitment Dynamics" just failed to make the shortlist.

Very refreshing. smile.gif
Carm

ph34r.gif Alright, I wasn't there this time, ok?
bluedave
LOl DD, wasn't you, it was some kind of mango daiquiri and a margarita.

But you can pop in and pay if you like? lol
DDBug
unsure.gif uhm, no, I paid a tab already tonight!
Carm
I paid for 5 cocktails, but now that I think of it, I did have a mango drink, so, what did I pay for instead? unsure.gif
bluedave
Don't worry Carm, they were really happy with us and were even OK with the influx of my ex colleagues whose behaviour was a little less than perfect. smile.gif
Carm
well, at least nobody got stiffed with the rest bill at the end of the night.
bluedave
TBH they are more worried about Jueleps stealing their trade cos they are a smoker, sat and had a chat with them, nice guys and gals.
Carm
really? But the place was hopping!
bluedave
They aren't worried in the short term, they do however see a move back to traditional smoking bars.

Who knows?
Carm
hmm! Well, Escobar was always better than Juleps any ways... so will be interesting to see what happens then.
bluedave
No arguments here.
Ruthie
Did the servers actually get friendlier as the night went on?
bluedave
Yeah, they were ok towards the end, think they were a bit stressed earlier.
sea-king
I was there just for a beer you understand (amazing statement and utterly untrue) and the seving wenches and guys were excellent. Friendly as hell, I haven´t been in this place for a long time, but I´ll be back! Who said that I wonder?
ian
Escobar need not worry about Juleps. Service was diastrous last time we went there. No one wants to go back.
They might worry if there is a change of management at Juleps though.

The guy serving me last night was friendly. But I was out of the way of the passageway a bit.
There was about 40 of us and I booked for 30 only. Thankfully cunning FBG'ers grabbed that extra table.
ian
Hey!

Remember Zoozies? That cool place with all the dark wood, by the river? On Friday from 7pm we've booked the bar area and all tall tables on the left as you go in.
When I booked it I said my name was Bender. You know? The sadistic criminal yet likable rascal robot from the animated hit TV comedy series Futurama? The lady said "sadistic what?" and I said "oh! did I say that aloud?"

Anyway. It'll be fun and all are welcome. Newbies and bending robots too! If you want to bring a big bunch, please let me know so I can extend the booking.

I was going to say "Oh good somewhere I haven't been to before", then I clicked on the map and realised that we went there last September. So I guess it's about time for another visit. smile.gif
Carm
my brother is in town this weekend, so might make it down.

Yes. But this time I'm playing a tactical move and I've placed us in the "crux" of the party. The "nub" if you will. As last time they "shoe horned" us into the back room back corner. We should have space to "flit" as it were, between tables and bar.
Can you flit?
Allershausen
I can but try.

I'm an American guy passing through Munich for a few days. Is the Friday beer garden open for guests?
