Ex-pats club in Lindau - Lake Constance

Hi everyone!

I'm new to this site/forum but just wanted to let you know that there is a thriving ex-pat community here in Lindau on Lake Constance, with members from the UK, Ireland, Canada, the States, Australia, Malta and South Africa. We meet on the last Friday of every month, from 8pm, in a different bar or pub each time. New faces are always welcome and we don't bite, so don't be shy! Our next night out is on June 30th, 2006, at the Wunderwerk beach bar on the Hintere Insel. There's a big screen for those who don't want to miss out on the footie! Feel free to ask if you need further info or directions.

Hi everyone. I haven't posted for a while but the Lindau Ex-Pats are still meeting on the last Friday of every month. Having said that, our next get-together is this coming Friday, rather than the 30th, as we're going to the Bockbierfest at Hotel Stift (on the Marktplatz) and they only had a table available for the 23rd. If anyone is interested in joining our mad but happy band, then get in touch. We always welcome new recruits!

I am actually born and raised in Lindau but am now living in Munich.

When and where is there to be a gathering of English speaking friends in Lindau Bodensee?

This is sooo great! i just joined this group. i just happen to "ask jeeves" about english speakers in Lindau groups and this came up! Now that I know about the last Friday gathering, i will look forward to when i can make one. My boyfriend lives on the island of Lindau and i'm shaky on the German and thought, "how cool would it be to meet an English speaker to take the pressure off the German forced language sometimes!" great.! i only come here every month/every other month but will try for last weeks to visit more often! thanks for putting this together! -barbee

hey Amanda, I wanted to ask if you are meeting tomorrow and where and when?? I would like to join you! I'm an american and have been in Friedrichshafen for almost 14 years. I am so surprised that there are so many english speakers here in the area!!
