Oops what happened? Been gnawing at the table legs again?

I don't know for sure, but I'd definitely try
Kaufhof (basement) and Kurt (Kaut?) Bullinger (probably 2nd floor), both are at
Marienplatz.

Hertie at HBF, 4th floor near the lighting section, Stacchus end.
Next aisle to the paints.
I bought wood oil last week there and saw it so please don't think that I've got that good a memory ok?
Suckfüll too. God I love tying that word.

thanks, my friend might have busted a cheap chair in her furnished flat. and while my friend wont be using said chair in the foreseeable future, my friend doesn't like the looks of busted chair. my friend is only glad she wasn't actually sitting on said cheap chair when it broke, otherwise my friend would probably jump out of the window, eating cake, naturally since all would be lost.
ps: since no other good "dear TT" friday threads have popped up yet you may, after i have recieved additional suitable advice tell me that theres no hope for me and my only choice is to give up life and go for my own sex as you like. however, please note i will be offline for the better part of the afternoon and therefore will, in advance, tell wise asses to shut up and make me a sandwich. don't forget the cucumbers and tomatoes as well. and like i've said a million time, i like them cut in triangles, squares is ghetto.
cheers - jml

Pattex Stabilit Express would be one option as it only takes 20mins to dry.
I'm going to regret typing this but here goes:Try to strap on the leg while it is still wet so that it goes firm.

jml you'll need to clamp it while its drying otherwise you'll never get a decent bond.

Aldi have clamps in stock this week in the Hopfenpost branch for not much cash.
Pretty useful things to have.
Hertie will probably have some too. Very handy department that is.

I did say they were useful things to have around the home.

But seriously, if the wooden leg is just split, adding a piece of wood to it would help with predrilled screws holes so it doesn't do any more damage. And use glue and the clamps shown above.
If the whole thing popped out of whack you would need some kind of rope or strap to squeeze the entire chair back together like a texas lasso for the time it takes the glue to dry. Little clamps won't help for that.

jml should bring the chair down to the Biergarten or pub and then we can all have a go at strapping it on.

So what is wrong with buying it at OBI?
Katrina
Jun 16 2006, 1:01 pm
OBI not central, jml no car, she's in
Lehel (L-Town massive).
Allershausen
Jun 16 2006, 1:10 pm
Fair enough, but there is an
OBI very close to the Franfurter Ring
U-Bahn station.
UrbanAngel
Jun 16 2006, 1:17 pm
It says in the sub-title: shops in Munich city centre.
Does she need a reason?
Allershausen
Jun 16 2006, 1:24 pm
Well it actually says
around the city center, and no she doesn't need a reason, I was just curious, she might have some deep personal grudge agaist
OBI, due to their employment of chid labour in the far east, or something. Who knows?
UrbanAngel

Around the centre means in the centre to me. Outside the centre would mean not in the centre.

Kustermans have a great glue selection Rindermarkt / Viktualenmarkt...its by the Ladies loos in the basement. I was hanging around there recently, I never realise there were so many types of glue
Thanks people, i meant within the city centre. I was hoping for a place that was already on my daily route. The
OBI is great but the fact is I have a solid reason for not going out there: Im a lazy ass and not very handy. Sure its fun to go poke about the nail bins and what not but Im really just being nosy. Oh and I get bored rather easily (short attention span see) so even that bit of fun would be brief.
cheers everyone,
