If you don't mind hanging out with a couple of Australians, some Germans and some half French/half Germans watching the football tomorrow, pm me and I'll give you directions to where we are meeting up.

Well, I am sure we will organise something for another set of games. Last weekend we were in the Bermuda Dreieck in Bochum (for the England V Paraguay, T&T V Sweden and the Ivory Coast V Argentina games) and that is not too far from Dortmund.

Surely they only send people to Dortmund as a punishment (if Frankfurt's full at the time !)
So what did you do ?

Hi everyone,
I've been giving tutoring in English(a side-job) for 10€/hour and recieved an email today from a 38-year-old man in Dortmund wanting to improve his english. Unfortunatly, I live in Kiel and the distance is a problem. Could it be possible that anyone in Dortmund would be willing to tutor him for 10€/hour. It isn't a very hard job. There are all kinds of websites that allow you to print out lessons, and it's usually 2 nights a week. If anyone would be interested in helping this man, please email me at: missaaroncarter2b@yahoo.com
Thanks!

I am an English speaker currently living and working in Berlin (transferred here for work), and would like to possibly relocate to Dortmund area in the near future. I would like to get more information regarding what employment options exist, if any, for English speakers in this area. Can any of you offer any insight please?

For starters, I presume that you have seen this site
www.dortmund.de?
Dortmund does have a high unemployment rate, as does the entire Ruhrgebiet area so you may need to commute to Düsseldorf or some such place. Having said that, there are a fair amount of companies there.
In truth, I wouldnt recommend a move here unless you have a definite job offer - this area isnt the greatest.
Sorry this is rather negative...if you have any particular questions, feel free to contact me...
