Theres a small group of us who are picking up hockey sticks for the first time and are looking for some extra contacts who might want make the move from just inlining to actually playing a bit of hockey over the summer.
This doesnt have a very competitive angle right now, its just about getting used to the play.
females also welcome (my girlfriend is playing)
If you are experienced maybe you have some good advice on the type of drills which are helpful or fun for beginners. Maybe someone has advice on a good place to play as well.

Hey thats great. We are usually trying to find one evening a week to get together, weather permitting. We have been meeting at the olympic park for the past few weeks.
What is the difference between the PM button, and the add reply?

Some french colleagues are playing this evening at 6:30. I have some vague indications that it will be in the area of the BMW building, they seem to believe they have a good place for playing. Ive requested more detailed information about that.
Just to keep this moving along, lets see where we all live. Im living waaaay up in Hasenbergl, but mostly i tell germans im living in Feldmoching because they always pull a face when i say Hasenbergl. Thats the Bayerish for slum for those of you that dont know. And i work at the o2 building which next to the Olympic park. Where are you other people located? North or South?

where is neu perlach? is it faaaar away? sounds like the north wins, at least for now. well im going out to play with some frenchies today. Its out of the city and we are taking a car, i think its silly that they should need to go so far out of the way... keep your eyes out for a good spot for hosting some play. Indoors on concrete would be great. got an abandoned warehouse?
the past 2 times weve been practising our skills up by the pool at the olympic park, its pretty wide open there, but definately not private, you get the german on-lookers and it pays to keep your head up as people stroll around, but the traffic isnt too heavy for a bit of passing and skating

yes neuperlach is sorta far away.. its on the u5/u8 . too bad its so far away fromt he rest of u because there is a pretty good place for skating and stuff near me... anyone know neubiberg? it hnk there is an sbahn stop for it but there used to be a small airport there and now the runway is used for skating and stuff and i always see ppl playing hockey there. but like i said would be quite far for the majority.

Yep. Sure. Watch this space. But i am going on holiday for two weeks starting next monday, but nobody will mind if you just turn up. Most of the players in this group are actually french, of course everyone speaks english but once the frogs start running around getting excited they start hooting in francais...Im always up for a bit of practise when im around though. I really want to become a better player. I guess you could say im hooked...

is anyone here still playing? i would be interested in some casual outdoor games, possibly leading up to eventually finding a nice indoor rink (if there is one here) for a more puck oriented game. anyone know where people play?, and if there are any indoor options anywhere in town?
thanks,
bob

Will this be a weekly thing? or just sporadic? I'd love to play (even though my skating leaves something to be desired), but I can't make it today. Let me know if you guys will be playing again next week.

I never did get round to doing this, and I have unfortunately buggered my knee again (hmmm a pattern forming here) so I cant do anything this week (saving my knee for my mountainbike race on Sunday). I should be better by next week and would love to give this a go... We will all be beginners, right??

so when and where? i see people occasionally playing at theresienwiesn, but without boards, or some kind of barriers, when you miss a pass, or a shot , it means chasing the ball for 20 meters. anyone know of an enclosed court, where kids aren't constantly playing soccer? and does someone have some small nets and balls?
